Thanksgiving

"Thanksgiving? What's that?"

That's what my family would say if I were to talk with them about it. Why? Because we don't even celebrate Thanksgiving to begin with.

Ham is superior then Turkey, Turkey is an imposter to chicken and it tastes way worse.

 

I'll be heading to my Grandma's to eat...nothing new. I'm picky, so sue me.

 

We are still able to do our traditional thanksgiving, and this time it won't even be interrupted by black Friday. Probably.
Ham is superior to Turkey in every way. yet we still will have a turkey instead because of tradition.

 

Welp, no one here celebrates Thanksgiving, it's not even a holiday. A shame if you ask me.

 

We'll be very cautiously going to my grandfather's house. The only reason we're risking it at all is because they're our next door neighbors and my sister works over there every single day, so the risk of spreading anything wouldn't be increased by that much.
Still, we want to be careful, since my grandpa isn't exactly a spring chicken, so we're going to request sitting at a separate table, because nothing says family togetherness like sitting as far apart from each other as is humanly possible.
Also, I prefer ham. Turkey's okay, but ham is freaking fantastic.

Before I was married, my maiden family would gather for Thanksgiving under my mom as Supreme Host. You did not spill her gravy on her tablecloth and we ate on generational china platter. (Am I making sense? I have a hard time picking the right words.)

With my in-laws we ate with family and friends. That was always terrifying. This year it will be my husband and I, my bro-in-law, and my in-laws. And only one set of Grand parents. Thank goodness.

Since I am giving blood the day before Thanksgiving, it will help me recover from my donation.
