That's Christmas to Me

    This is not all about Pentatonix's song. It's all about YOUR definition of Christmas. Everyone in the whole world celebrates the holidays in their own unique way. Like myself, every year me and my family would get together during Christmas Eve, help each other cook ham, tamales, turkey, desserts, etc. Then we would sit around and play games, watch movies until the struck of 12, which is the time to open Christmas presents. Then on the 25th we would relax and chill while we reminisce our past Christmases. Also, every year I help a special someone in need. Like recently, I gave a co-worker of mine $40 to fill up her gas tank, because she was struggling to make ends meet. It felt really good.

    So, here's something I wanted to ask to you Valorians: what is Christmas to you?

    Christmas to me is a time where everyone bonds together whether feasting on delicious food, singing songs, sharing gifts, and overall just having a great time with one another. My family have never been too big on gift receiving, but gift giving is the best. Christmas is just a great opportunity to show your love to your friends and family.

    We don't do much for holidays here but I've always had a pretty generic view of Christmas, hehe.

    Sitting next to a Christmas tree on a cold, snowy night would be absolutely ideal. Presents aren't so much a necessity here but the giving aspect is what truly defines this holiday - it's much better to give than receive, after all, especially as I'm the type that gets so much satisfaction from making others happy. A perfect Christmas would be to come home after a tiring day after having made at least one person happy, be it family or stranger via random acts of kindness, and then sitting beneath my tree reading a good book as the snow falls. Yes. <3 With some eggnog to boot, maybe.. or just a milk chocolate santa.
