Whenever I hear about the archive or look around through the lost threads, I always feel like I'm in a graveyard, and I actually get a bit sad. Seeing roleplays that will never be used again, or seeing someone's "members' lobby" post, which is potentially their first post, never be posted on again.

Looking through the archive kinda puts me down in the dumps, does anyone else get that feeling?

Not really, it's more like a memory to be remembered to me. We can always look back at the threads, and the forums are a lot cleaner with the old threads moved to the archive which you can think as a retirement home. The archive is just a beautiful place filled with love and hardwork.

its a interesting place here in LV
Is a lonely, melancholic and dark place
a Hades that's not in flames but frozen in space and time
where every thread will face its destiny and will be forever dammed in the eternal void
    forever trapped
    forever forgotten
    there's no way out
but always a way to get in...

I almost never visit the archive except if I need to reference a thread that was moved there. Maybe it's because I haven't been around very extensively so I'm not quite as sentimental about old threads.

But I don't get sad seeing it, if anything I'm just thankful LV has a place for dead threads to go, ehe. Keeps it nice and clean~

The archive is a place that only reminds me of the countless threads I've shipped off to there because of people who are incapable of reading and/or following the clear and simple rules of Lake Valor's Literature Library. Yes, many migraines and personal messages to users to fix their threads have ended in simply tossing the darn threads into the graveyard of the archive.

It is a dark place that fills me with hatred. I wish to speak of it no further.

Well it is pretty sad now that I think about it... but if you see a thread you like that's gone, you could make a new one similar to it. :) And it's not like they're deleted forever. :D The threads will always be there to read and remember.

I hate that moment when you see a post that you haven't seen before and it turns out to be in the archive. It is really quite sad sometimes.
