azumarill, easily. you're comparing between a UUBL mon and a NUBL mon.

azu's set is also belly / jet / knock off and then either play rough, liquidation, and waterfall

I'm no expert, but I'm wondering about Slurpuff's better Speed stat and HP recovery. Slurpuff is not only able to be more likely to get in an extra attack, and will probably also get back up to a stable HP faster than Aqua Ring would reach.

I'm not sure how much that tips the scales, but I think it's worth putting into consideration as far as the rest of the team is concerned.

Azumarill's much better, but realistically you aren't getting an Aqua Ring up. You should replace that with something like Knock Off.

Azumarill on paper but Slurpuff can fill in nicely on a team that needs a solid Fairy type. So depends on context!

Also yeah dont bother with aqua ring, you aint staying long enough to use it. hit them hard and try to get as much damage/kos as you can after that belly drum.

If putting in nomalium z and use Z-belly drum. Even you are in 1Hp. You will still be full health.

Both are outclassed now. Slurpuff isn't nearly as used as it was before and Azumarill is severely outclassed by a terror of a sweeper, Snorlax. Banned from Smogon Doubles for a reason, Recycle/Belly Drum Snorlax can be unstoppable given the right situations. No Ghost Types with Levitate? No Will O Wisp users? No Taunt? Free win. Slap Return and High Horsepower as offensive moves and Snorlax becomes a behemoth of a sweeper with bulk to back it up. Not to mention, Trick Room and Misty Terrain makes this monster unhindered by everything. With a jaw-dropping Base 110 Attack and an outstanding Base 160 HP stat, Snorlax takes almost nothing from any non fighting move and deals every bit of it back. Bottom line, Snorlax absolutely crushes Azumarill and Slurpuff, one Return at a time.
