Have you had people blame you for something you never did?

Has there ever been a misunderstanding to the situation?

This was probably the stupidest thing that's ever happened to me...

In sixth grade we had the tech class, you know. The first tech class you have where they just teach you how to type or whatever. So, by the time I was in sixth grade I'd already learned how to type. We had little programs that taught you the positioning at my elementary school, and on top of that, I'd already joined the Warrior Cats forums (I read those) and I'd gotten proficient at typing from that. So, I was at this school, and we were taking a pre-test kind of thing in the class. Since I already knew how to type I got about 20 words per minute with 80-something% accuracy. Because of that "high score" the teacher assumed I somehow cheated on the test.

I just need to add that it was a teacher who everyone complained about. It wasn't one of those nice teachers that everyone else seems to like, but you hate. (Although that happened to me twice last year.) It was a teacher that no one at that school liked. Fortunately, however, she quit her job at the middle school and went on to be a principle at an elementary school close to the house that I live at right now.

    Oh, I've got one.
When I lived in America, I came to school one day and people started giving me evil stares and saying "how could you say that stuff". I had no clue what was going on until my friend asked me when I got Facebook. I told him that I didn't and didn't plan on getting it. He then told me someone had set up a Facebook profile under my name, and he knew who it was.
The guy got rid of the account or something and we actually became friends afterwards.

I had a pretty bad experience a while ago at my first job- I won't tell the name of the company, but it was a local convenience store chain that's fairly popular in my state. I was originally hired for part-time during the summer, as I was still in school and had classes going on, but they ended up hiring me for 40+ hours a week with no overtime pay. It was a lot of hectic work, but it was doable, so I didn't complain.

Then on my 4th week of working there, when I was called in to attend what was supposed to be an 'employee meeting' with the rest of the employees at the store, the head of the whole company had me sit in the back room alone while he interrogated me about money I apparently stole from the store. I was extremely confused, so I told him that I didn't steal anything from the store, and he told me that over $600 was missing and he had 'proof' that I stole it. I asked him many times what the proof was, but he wouldn't tell me.

I am a very anxious person, and I get panicked very easily, especially if someone is accusing me of something I didn't do. The company head somehow saw my panic attacks as 'proof' of my guiltiness and wouldn't let me leave until I confessed. Thankfully, I never did, so he eventually gave up after 2 hours of interrogation and just fired me.

I later found out from my friend who got a job at the same store after me that the money issue was because of the new lottery machines that were installed the day before the money went missing. Also, a few family members and friends who have worked at the same store chain have had the same exact experience with the company heads falsely accusing them of stealing money and then firing them- so at least I know it's not just me.

    TL;DR- Retail sucks.

Yeah, a few years ago a guy who was a childhood friend called me up early in the morning and swore at me and threatened me and blamed me for stealing some of his drugs, as I was at his house the night before and he couldn't find them when he went looking that morning. A few hours later he did find them and apologized however, but after that I sort of let contact drop and stopped associating with him with little regrets. If he's going to pull shady shit like that, thinking that a long-time friend has stolen from him just because something is misplaced, I'm not sorry to be rid of it.
