Lady June turned around, surprised to see Zaria come from one of her secret hallways. "You were eavesdropping on our conversation?! How rude!"

"Use you? That is a bold claim you have right there." Lady June stood there, unfazed by Zaria's rage. "My life does not revolve you and your friends, Zaria. I also have other matters I need to attend to as Merlourn's Duchess."

Lady June took a few steps forward. "My duchy us currently in a crisis. A number of bandits refuse to give up a path that is crucial for Merlourn's trade across other duchies. That is why you heard me say something about gaining their trust and taking it by force."

Lady June laughed at Zaria's question, struggling to reply. She calmed down after a few seconds. "Is it not obvious my dear swordmaster? The path is not something the bandits own. No no, it is a path to be used by the people."

Lady June still stood there, not moving an inch even though Zaria was ready to attack her. She knew that her intentions with Marina's group were clear and that she already clarified what she had said earlier, so she was not afraid at all.

The store wasn't as flooded as the jewelry shop was, but it had a number of customers. Apparently, a new batch of wares just came in. Erik can hear a conversation going on between the owner and the deliveryman.

"Thank god, I thought these would never arrive," said the owner who seemed to be very worried. "Did those bandits take anything from you guys?"

The deliveryman shook his head. "As surprising as it is, no, they didn't. I guess whatever Lady June is doing to get that road back is working."

"Because I know I did nothing wrong," she replied to Zaria's question before walking towards her. "Calm down, dear warrior." She put her hands on Zaria's shoulders, trying to ease her worries. "As I've said before, my intention with your group is pure."

She then looked straight into Zaria's eyes. "If you stand down now, I will forget your actions of eavesdropping and I will not mention it to anyone else."

"Calm down, Zaria. There is nothing to be worried about, okay?" Lady June smiled at Zaria, trying to get her to calm down. To her, it was obvious that she was conflicted with whatever she was about to do.

As the owner and deliveryman both got back to work, one of the shopkeepers noticed Erik. "Good day sir! Can I interest you in some pots and vases for your home?"

The shopkeeper didn't mind Erik as he was used to people just passing by anyway. However, he was quite worried if he would reach his quota for today.

As previously mentioned, Marina and Marco met up with Erik after a few minutes. Marco spoke, "So did you guys find anything interesting about the Duchess?"

Marina shook her head. "Apart from some internal stuff that she's apparently trying to fix with some bandits calling themselves the Cerulean Tigers, not much else except for praise about how she leads the duchy."

Lady June took a few steps back, knowing that Zaria had finally calmed down. The Duchess sighed before looking at her assistant. "Please escort Zaria back to the hall dedicated to her allies." The assistant promptly replied "yes" and began to escort Zaria out of Lady June's room and back to the hall.

The hall was quite empty when Zaria returned. However, some maids were busy tending to the flowers and were having a conversation.

"Did you hear? The Princess will visit the castle soon after hearing the news about the purified waters," one of the maids said while watering the flowers. The other maid looked at her and replied. "Well, it truly is a big deal. I'm not surprised that the King wanted to send the Princess here to see the miracle."

Marco shook his head, "No, if anything the Cerulean Tigers were the rivals of the now disbanded Scarlet Wolves."

"Rivals?" Marina asked, remembering their encounter with a group of thieves in Myriad City. Her eyes widened, "Are they a group that has blue as their color?" Marco nodded at her question. "So I guess that's why they said they didn't know anything about the orb when we asked them."

"Should we be heading back to the castle now?" Marco asked, looking at Marina and Erik.
