Hello my fellow writers! DarkLightKnight here with a story of mine. Well, mine and KoolKat412. Her and I are writing the story together, but I'll post it. We are still writing it, so it may take a bit of time to update. It's rated PG-13 because of violence, and language.

    Prologue
    Koral

Koral turned her head to make sure no one followed her. She turned back around--she had made it a few miles from her little hut and was determined to make it to the mountain before sunset. She ran farther into the forest; her bare feet made no sound in the soft soil. She reached a clearing where the ground was covered in ferns. She jumped in the air letting her wings carry her across it. She would have walked right though if it weren't for her father's lessons. She knew poisonous snakes and spiders littered the ground below. She made it across and landed gracefully and ran towards the sound of rushing water. She came through the trees to the edge of a lake. She turned on her heels and ran north to the mountain. At this, she began to think of the note she received earlier that week.

Dear Koral Platano, F.R (Friday) one o'clock PM

We are sorry to tell you that your father was found dead on the Flower Pathway. It seemed like he had been attacked by some wild creature. We at least hoped we could return his corpse to you but it was too gruesome. Your aunt and uncle would gladly take you in, unless you are confident to take care of yourself.

We do have some good news though; Prince Sand has asked you to take his hand. It might be the best for you. He was arranged a time to meet with you, so he can ask personally and get to see you again for he has only seen you once or twice at Royal Balls.

    Thank you for your time;
    The Royal Palace Post,
    King Rise

P.S. The Date of the meeting: Suns (Sunday) at three o'clock PM

The hatred in her eyes was from the lies in the letter.

"Attacked by some wild creature," she spoke to herself.

She heard the truth. The King ordered assassins to kill him. Only because her father didn't let the Prince marry her. The Prince told her everything and after that she grabbed her hunting bow to hunt for food on her journey. She also grabbed her father's dagger, just in case. She was running away from her little village; she didn't want anything to do with the Royals.

She could see the mountain over the horizon. The sun was setting and she picked up her speed. It almost looked faster to jump into the rapids and let them carry her. As she ran faster the evening wind picked up, her cloak kept her warm but the sweat froze her. It didn't really help that she had ice in her bones. She looked up at the sky, it was going to start raining she needed to get to high ground. The rapids were high and could easily flood with a few millimeters of rain. She began to fly again as she neared the mountain.

She made onto a ledge high enough that the water couldn't reach her. It was only ten minutes that a six foot ledge was engulfed by water. She was now about forty feet above the ground and still couldn't see the mountain summit. Her dark brown hair was drenched as she shivered in a ball. Suddenly the rocks began to fall away from under her. She jumped up. She was getting sucked into some sort of portal. As she struggled to get back to the mountain ledge, a rock came a hit her cheek. Her cheek began to bleed and started to bruise. Another piece of rubble hit her left wing, and the wing tore. She focused to stay conscious, but as she kept on falling, she blacked out.

Look who's back with more! :D

    Torik

Torik swore as he hit the ground hard and ran. Apparently, kings don't like messengers. As he entered the mouth of the forest, he looked back, hoping not to see any guards. His hopes were soon thwarted when he saw three guards come out from the castle. He turned back, and ran deeper into the forest. When there was nothing but lush green trees around, he sighed and sat down on a log.

Finally able to look around, Torik did just that. He was in the heart of the deep forest near the King's castle. The tall oak and birch trees around him seemed to scrape the sky, not to mention all flowers and greenery at his feet. He took in all in with a huge breathe. But his happiness vanished when the sound of footsteps rang through the forest. He rubbed his forehead, and pushed hair from his eyes.

"God dammit..." Torik sighed as he looked for any low hanging branches.

Thankfully, there were many near him, and Torik looked for the nearest one. He quickly found it. Making sure he didn't step on any twigs, he grabbed the branch and pulled himself up onto it. Just as he pulled himself up, a guard stepped into his view. He swore again, then pulled out his bow. He put an arrow into his bow, and pulled back. Without the guard noticing, he let it fly. It landed in the the guard's throat with a satisfying thud.

Torik turned back to the trunk of the tall oak tree he was on, and began to climb. When at the top, there were many trees near him. Deciding to do some tree-hopping, he jumped from the tree was on to the one beside him. He was fast and nimble, not making any noise. He soon grew tired as he jumped, and sweat trickled down his face. He wiped it away as he reached the last tree before The Drop.

The Drop was a huge grey canyon, with a clear blue lake in it. No one went near it, for rumors of death and curses were thrown around about it. Torik didn't believe any of the rumors, being his cocky self. He climbed down the huge tree. He jumped from the last branch just as the last two guards entered the clearing at the mouth of the edge of the canyon. The guards had scared looks on their faces when they saw The Drop. At this, he smirked. As the guards walked closer to him, he took steps back until if he took one more step, he would fall off. He looked over his shoulder at the lake below.

"Bye bitches!" Torik smirked as he stepped off.

Torik turned his body mid-air as he dropped, and fell into the water in a dive. Underwater he opened his eyes, and looked around. He saw what looked to be a... portal? No, that can't be. He swam deeper in the water, towards the so-called portal. He finally reached it, but he was running out of breath. He reached out to touch it, unsure, when he suddenly couldn't breathe. He gasped, which did more harm than help. He said his prayers as the inky blackness of sleep took him.

    Sirena

Sirena swam through the blue waters. She smiled as she saw a beautiful shell in the deeper water, and she swam further to get it. As she make to get it, she noticed a cave. She wasn't the kind to be adventurous, but she was curious if there were any more shells. She swam back to the castle where she found Rito.

"Rito?" She asked, "Can you come with me to a cave? I want to know if there are any shells I can use for my fashion show tomorrow. I'd like someone with me so if anything attacked me, I would be safe." Her sing-song voice asked as she tapped his bare chest with her long finger nail. She smiled as he said a hesitant yes.

Rito followed her to the cave. Sirena swam through the cave entrance; Rito at her tail. She looked around, then she smiled at all the empty and beautiful shells littered all around the sand and rocks.

"Rito, look at all these shells!" Sirena exclaimed with a squeal. Rito didn't answer.

"Rito?" Sirena turned and gasped. Rito wasn't behind her anymore.

Sirena swam around the cave going deeper and deeper calling his name.

"Rito, this isn't funny!" One call after the other Sirena began to panic.

"Rito?" Sirena started to feel something pull her fin. She chuckled.

"Rito!" Sirena said, almost cross. As she swirled around, she saw another world.

"What the heck?" Sirena thought out loud. Suddenly, she felt like she was getting sucked into something..

Sirena's scales began to peel away, as she screamed for help.

"Help me! Somebody help me!" Sirena screamed before she had no more breath. She struggled helplessly. This is worst than a whirlpool. She thought. Her head began to pound. Oh flibber flabber. She thought as the pain became overpowering. She passed out.
