Hey guys //dabs.

I won't often break character with this run, as it's kind of the entire shitck of it. However, even in the OG fic, the first post was kind of an OOC hub. And with that said, I do feel it's worth giving some pre-context.
This run is a nuzlocke I started and ran starting in April 7, 2016. At the time, it updated and was told as a real time story through twitter, blog posts, and comment replies. As of now, I'll be posting backlog of what I have until I catch up to where I am. I'll probably post weekly to bi-weekly. While a lot of the commenter replies and logs are already prewritten, I'm still going to reply in character to any comments I get as I update. This is just something I enjoy doing. I feel as though thats worth noting, so if there is a dissonance between writing styles its because the replies to the comments I get here are from a writer thats far more confident with the characters she's writing for in this good year of 2019.

Also, slight warning. My characters do curse like sailors. Nothing that will break site rules, but if a lot of cursing does bother you keep that in mind.

Man, fuck Thales.​

This nuzlocke is written in a format that acts as though the main two characters, Kimon and Thales, are the ones writing the documentation. Think of it as an alternate reality game. They don't know they're in a story, and the blogs are written BY Thales. Not only is there going to be two separate posts (Out of Character- this one - and In Character, the one directly below), but the twitter will also be directly involved with the story.
However, if you don't have a twitter or just don't want to scroll through posts if you miss part of the story, screenshots of the tweets WILL be posted above each blog.
Feel free to interact with the characters as if they were real people! If they're written directly to, they will respond.
Also, this first OOC post is nonexistent to them. They see nooooothing [mystic jazz hands]

Oh, and this story is going to be written real time. That's probably something I should note.

Spoiler: Nuzlocke Rules

Faint = Death
- Catch the first Pokémon per route. (Technical ownership of each Pokémon will be determined through a coin-flip. Kimon is heads, Thales is tails. Exceptions to this rule include legends, starters, and if one of them have all their available Pokémon die. The Pokémon automatically goes to the one without any team members and MUST be put on the team.)
- 3 of the Pokémon on the team must be Thales's and the other three must be Kimon's. Even if one of them runs out of Pokémon, the slots must remain unfilled until the next Pokémon is obtained.
- The first two Pokémon caught must not be used, as one will be sent to diamond in exchange for Trant, and the other as penalty for the first. These count as each route's catch.
- Nickname all Pokémon.
- In double battles, one Pokémon must be from each of the twins.
- All objects must be used and bought in even numbers. Important objects are an exception to this rule.
- Items found on routes don't apply to this rule and may mess with the numbers.
Must, at some point, catch both Ho-Oh and Lugia.​

Alright, so. I feel like there's no better way to start this than explaining that, my brother and I? We're grade A dumbasses. Like, Complete fucking idiots. Theres no better way to get this point across then to just straight up tell you that.
With that being said, no one has any right to judge us for our actions and the results of them. Because they're sure to only be the epitome of our stupidity from this point on.

Anyway, hello, hey, my name is Thales Maheras. I have a brother named Kimon, we're 16 years of the age, get like 80% of our wardrobe from hot topic, and we currently live in middle-of-nowhere-wow-we're-actually-on-the-map?! In the Johto region. Wow, look, I've already broken like 5 rules of internet safety. Wait hold on, let me google the rules of internet safety.

Apparently I've broken a lot of rules of internet safety this week alone. Thanks safekids.com, you've enlightened me in all my wrongdoings, have showed me the light of a sober individual and how I should change my ways. No longer will I not be a good online citizen, and will go straight to my mother if someone says something mean to me on the internet.

… You know, something tells me this is going to bite me in the ass one day. Ah well, going back to that one point on being an idiot-
Don't people normally say why they're writing a blog or something? I mean, shit, if I were a theoretical blog reader and not writing it, I would want to know what this was about.

My brother and I are going to be meeting our new teammates today. And by that I mean, bitch we're going to be League Fighters. (Note to self, never write OR say anything along the lines of that again) I mean, it doesn't really matter that it's December. Kimon and I got big plans, and if that means freezing our legs off to travel that's what we're gonna do.

… Well, we're probably going to wait til after the holidays first. It would disappoint our mother a bit too much if we left before that. Our mom disappointed is uh. Sort of Scary. So we aren't going to do that to her, both to stop her from possibly cutting off our heads in our sleep to keep us here and, you know, because we're sort of nice people. Sort of.

So, I've given my brother access to my- sorry, OUR, he's side-eyeing me despite the fact that it originally WAS my account. Which he wouldn't be DOING if he wasn't looking over my shoulder every other second. Wow, talk about rude). OUR twitter account. Somehow, I think giving this to Kimon is the first of many mistakes I can make. But whatever amuses him, I guess. He's probably going to be a lot more dedicated with this whole live update thing than I am, honestly. But I'll at least try to post more serious current stuff on Twitter too, if they do ever come up.
So, we're probably going to be meeting our teammates tomorrow. Kimon's been sitting here mumbling about not being able to sleep tonight. Never bodes well for MY sleep schedule, but I'm sure I'll make do. I'm more worried about being able to wake him up tomorrow at a reasonable time. We can't just go wandering over at like 5 pm like I'm sure he wants to. I'm pretty sure he'd go now if no one were here to stop him, but there's only so many times you can surprise visit someone at like 1 am before it's considered breaking and entering.

In the meantime, feel free to ask us shit if you're curious on anything. I mean, I'm probably willing to answer? Probably. Yeah.
