The Lone Road to Lavender Town

((This is a one shot fanfiction, so I hope you guys enjoy it!))

Small puffs of dirt poofed beneath Antonio's shoes​

as he walked​

the lone road to Lavender Town.​

Once, long ago, he wasn't alone.​

Now, he was.​

Ah, the memories.​

The beautiful sweet memories.​

Of his good friend Tommy.​

Tommy was a sweet, innocent, little Sandshrew upon meeting,​

but grew up to be a fun and intense partner.​

They fought side by side on various occassions​

stopping murderers and thieves.​

They were the best of friends.​

Alas, that was no more.​

Good things can't last forever.​

One day, like any other​

they were stopped on the road.​

Another attack by thieves,​

just a day like any other.​

But something went wrong.​

Antonio rushed Tommy to the Center​

Antonio's heart raced for hours after the normal healing didn't work​

Antonio paced​

and paced​

and paced​

until he couldn't stand it anymore.​

He burst into the room,​

and Tommy was dying.​

Antonio couldn't stand it as the heart meter...​

finally...​

stopped...​

and his friend​

dear little Tommy​

drew one final breath​

Revenge. Vengence.​

The new song in Antonio's heart.​

Antonio slipped into dark methods​

to seek revenge.​

He sought out the murderer​

Angry beyond belief​

at the loss of his only friend​

his first friend.​

That's when he realized,​

Tommy wouldn't have wanted that.​

He spared the man​

Gasping, he ran away​

and thought about Tommy.​

Poor little Tommy.​

What would Tommy want him to do?​

To keep going in life, because that's what we all need to do.​

Now, he was on the lonely road to Lavender Town,​

to greet his old friend​

that he so dearly loved.​
