Nearly every person on earth uses language and there's so many to even begin counting, but which do you think is most soothing to listen to, has the most beautiful characters, etc.? French I think sounds the best. It has so many fancy sounding words and it uses a heap of different vocal techniques. Even the word for tramp sounds beautiful: clochard. As far as writing goes, the Thai script looks quite interesting and unique, at least more so than the Roman characters.

I've seen many a list that say my native tongue, Sinhala, has one of the prettiest alphabets out there. It also uses every sound that a human can possibly make so that probably has something to do with it.

Personally though, I like Japanese the most. Both visually and audibly, it sounds amazing!

My vote goes to German without a second thought. Nowhere else can you combine multiple adjectives with a noun into a single word, nor do you see choral music elsewhere as beauteous as in the German language.

I unfortunately don't speak German and wish I did, though knowing my patience for something such as a foreign language, I will probably never end up learning it. Still, that does not mean that I cannot appreciate it.

French sounds really nice, all blended together and the tones are amaaazing. Chinese I like to look at, so many different word styles and the calligraphy is great.(I know I'm totally biased though but still)

This might sound weird, but English is my favourite language. I think it sounds great (as long as it's spoken by a native or someone who's mastered the native tongue quite well, I'm not really a fan of clearly hearable accents like most of my (Dutch) classmates in English class), and I really wanna go to England on vacation, just to surround myself with the awesome accent!
Somehow, everything sounds better in English.

Written, I think Arabic is beautiful. So smooth and curvy and elegant (I have no idea what this says, but it sure looks pretty!). Spoken, though, not so much, I just don't like the phlegmy-ness of the Semitic languages. My vote for that goes to Italian, which I think has enough Latin influence to sound well-constructed and sensible, but has more vowel-y fluidity to it.

I really love the way the Japanese language looks and sounds. It's one of the most mellifluous languages I've ever heard imo, and it sounds even more melodious in the form of songs. There's just something about the intonation and the rise and fall of the pitch that captures me.
