The "New" (Not) Teen Titans

    TNT is planning to introduce a live-action TV show of the popular comic series Teen Titans, though the show will simply be called Titans. This show will be similar to the already-popular shows Arrow and The Flash. Here's a list of the characters that are all in the pilot:

    - Robin (Dick Grayson)
    - Barbara Gordon
    - Hawk and Dove
    - Raven (Rachel Roth)
    - Starfire

    Interestingly enough, Raven and Starfire only appear as buttons at the end of the pilot script. Hawk and Dove appear to be the Hank Hall and Dawn Granger versions of the characters. And though the script has Barbara in a wheelchair, it never lists her as Oracle.

    I thought was interesting that Beast Boy (Garfield Logan) was missing from the cast. I mean if you're going to go with the "modern" Teen Titans, Wynaut him?

    Cyborg, despite being one of the "modern" Titans, has his own movie, so it makes sense he wouldn't be included. It's really not feasible for Aqualad, Wonder Girl (Donna Troy), or Kid Flash (Wally West) (all original Titans) to be included, since Aqualad and Wonder Girl's mentors haven't been introduced yet in their movies and Flash is still a relatively new hero.

    So what do you think about this latest addition to the DC live-action TV shows?

    I'm sad that Beast Boy and Cyborg seem to be out. Though, I am mostly a fan of the animated Teen Titans (except for Go) so I don't know much about the series from before "modern."

    I'm actually going to try and remember to watch this. It could be very interesting.

    Hmm, it might be interesting to watch, but I hope that they do it right. I don't think it will top the original cartoon though.

    I'm so exited for this. DC Is totally upping it's game in the TV Series department with The flash, Arrow, Gotham, Supergirl coming, and now this!! It's gonna be a good year for tv
