It's too short notice for this year's Halloween, but if you had an unlimited budget of time and money, what would be your perfect costume for Halloween or a convention? You can hire designers, buy the best materials, and spend all day with fitting, no limitations except the human form. With such unlimited options, who would you become?

I'd go with something semi-expected and choose Mega Man X with one of his upgraded armors. I think the right designers could make his legs easier to move with, and how I would love to have an X Buster with with glowing effects and a helmet with an actual ruby embedded into it. And actually, now that I think about it now, a genre crossover could also be incredible. Turning X into a robo-medieval knight-in-shining-armor complete with an X-Saber and everything? Pictures of me in that costume would break the internet!

I’d probably dress as Ignatz from Fire Emblem Three Houses. While that sounds pretty easy to do since I already wear glasses, there are some factors that would make it difficult without unlimited resources.

    1. The hair. I do not have a bowl cut, nor is my hair green. Since I don’t like the idea of dyeing my hair, I would buy a green wig with that cut.

    2. The bow. A real bow would be dangerous, so I’d rather have a plastic replica.

    3. The outfit. This is easily the most difficult part. If I had a designer, I’d ask them to make a shirt with the cloth thing that goes over like a tie. Then I’d request the black vest to have four brown buttons. The shoes could just be basic black boots.

If I were to dress as this character, you bet I would do an impression and say “let me paint you a picture!”

I have two dream costumes that I swear I will wear one day, even if I'm fairly sure that I won't be able to make one of them for myself.
The first one is Huntress from Justice League Unlimited It's a fairly straight forward costume, but also one that's rather exposing (She has more modest costumes, but the one that I would want has exposed stomach and thighs). I would want to feel a little more confident in my own body before going for this cosplay, as well as someone that I would feel comfortable co-cosplaying with (I love the thought of going to conventions, but I've heard horror stories of people getting harassed because of their costumes, and I wouldn't want to deal with that on my own, so while wearing that particular costume I would want someone to be with me. They might be able to discourage harassment, or help defend me if I begin to shut down in confrontation. Maybe they could cosplay as Question, and it would be a duo thing).
The other costume I would like to wear would be Sofia from Sofia the First. I would feel a little awkward about being an adult who is cosplaying as a literal child, but I love her character, and I like her outfit. The only problem is she wears a hoop dress with puffy sleeves, as well as pearls and ruffles all over the skirt. I can handle sewing a cloak, but not a dress like this.

I don't have to dress up. Or have a budget.

I'm a wizard and already wear robes everywhere I go.
