The Power of Hax

Being frozen for 12 turns straight.
Then after my opponent still not being able to take my Metagross down, they freeze him yet again the moment he unthaws.


Worst. Game. Ever.
My victory was in sight Bloom, I promise you it was. Hax was on my opponent's side. XD

 

How do you possibly name one moment of hax? Each memory is more painful than the last...

Well this past week I was fighting a lapras with my gallade. He froze me with freeze dry on the first turn, doing 15% of my health. I proceeded to stay frozen the next 10 turns as I continued to take 15% and stay frozen, healing with leftovers each turn. Each turn was just painful, watching him pathetically kill me as I longed to drain punch his face out. He was only doing 15%... 15%... :'(

There's this guy I used to fight in Y who kept using this on me, appropriately named "U Mad?". I hate this thing with a passion, and he was constantly one-shotting my team. I fought him like, 5 times, and I never took down that stupid Cloyster *he always opened with it*

 

Probably something along the lines of being paralyzed for 7 turns straight, then hitting myself 3-4 times in a row from confusion right after. If it weren't for all that terrible luck, I had a chance to win that stall match-up, and the battle altogether.

 

I have experienced a lot of hax, but I just had this battle with [member='Astralogy'], I'll let it speak for itself... The hax were real XD

I have an uncanny ability to hax my opponenets. 10% freeze that lasted for 5 turns just in the right time. That is my favorite hax xD

 

I was in a double battle with a Landorus and a Conkelldurr. I had a Aromatisse and a Sabeleye. I kept trying to burn Landorus, but Will-O-Wisp missed three times. Then the Landorus started to use rock slide and it flinched both my of Pokémon 3 times. Ugh...sorry for not going into full detail, I barely remember x3.

 

Oh god. RNG only favours people it likes. I remember people getting really mad at me because of Meloetta's Relic Song and Ice Punch insta-statusing them every time I hit them.

There was also a time where I was confused, Paralyzed and Flinched. Oh my lord that was the worst. Thanks to a Water Pulse, Body Slam, Air Slash Togekiss, I felt so pathetic. Then again, I can use that strategy against them. Huehuehue ;3

Hax? Oh god, there are a lof stories to talk about...but the main one was when I battled @[member="Martsian"] haha
He got a critical hit with Rotom Wash..do you remember it bro? That cost me the entire battle after losing my Scizor xDDD

 

All I can say is, that while sometimes I have accomplished hax in battles that help me , it's always more so crippled me.

I've had many, MANY battles where one tad of bad luck with me actually costs me the whole battle (sometimes miscalculation, since it happened to me against @[member="☆~L-A~☆"] this morning.)

I've honestly disliked the fact of hax, but I know it can be a battle saver or a loss depending on how the dice feels like treating you that moment.

 

Yes i remember.. I didn't get a critical hit though! I got a low role at first and a high role afterwards! Anyway, it really can ruin an entire battle! I hate hax!

(FighterKK is me and Pikamon790 is someone on these forums)
First, I miss a rock blast on rhyperior in the random battle. Yeah, that sucks, but that misses every once in a while. Next turn, I use rock blast again, it misses again. That already is highly rare. Pikamon's Luxray uses Ice Fang, and it freezes. That's another 10% chance. So that's 10 percent on 10 percent on 10 percent into a hax sandwich. We were insanely impressed.

 

When I play online on my 3DS, the hax tend to sway in my favor. i.e. Scald burns, opponents missing Stone Edges, me getting flinches on my foes, etc. Although I do get my share of unnecessary crits.

On Pokémon Showdown I tend to get misses at the worst times (i.e. Rock Tomb missing a Talonflame on the switch), hit by crits, parahax, freeze hax (anytime I get it on the foe, they thaw out immediately, if they get it on me I'm as good as dead lol), etc.

Needless to say I like playing on my 3DS better. xD

 

Oh god no hax! In all honesty, people who say 'Hax is part of the game' riles me up too and that.. weird. Hax is something to get mad at, just 1) don't go over the top and 2) don't get 'salty' when you have prolonged anger against the same person because they critted you once. I do feel also that hax does ruin the game but also makes the game. you need the unpredictability to be a good game but where one person takes, another person gives. There is no balance to hax unfortunately. It is literally a case of 'Haters will hate'
