Nah, I do it all the time, but at the same time I hardly get tired of them simply because they're extended on purpose.
The entirety of the NieR soundtrack. I've been in love with this soundtrack for almost a decade now - the teaser website went up in 2009 after E3, and Blu Bird was more than enough to pull me right in - and I can't see it ever being supplanted by anything else as my favourite music of all time. A lot of people sing Automata's praises, but the OST for that pales in comparison to the original. I can and have listened to this on a loop for hours; it has something for my every mood. I listen to the Jurassic Park main theme a lot, too. I wish modern movies would come out with score as memorable as this. It feels like we haven't had a good movie soundtrack since the 90s ended... As for songs...To The Beginning, by Kalafina? That's one I can listen to on a loop for quite a while. Manten as a close second, and far on the water as a third.
I do this all the time. I find a new music I like, let it absorb in my mind. Then I play it in my mind like a tap recorder for days maybe weeks. Then I never want to hear it again and usually never get it stuck in my head again. Its always frustrating when I grow tired of a song because finding music I like is really hard and I can't go back to songs and have it have the same appeal.
I can listen to the same song over and over again for up to 3 days. I thought it was just my ocd but maybe I'm wrong?
I am extremely guilty of this, you are certainly not alone. When I hear a song I love (and I mean REALLY love), you should bet that song will be played dozens of times until I'm absolutely sick of it. This has happened recently with the Kingdom Hearts OST (still really need to play it tho), A Cruel Angel's Thesis, and a variety of other songs.
Today, yesterday, tomorrow. Yes. Music was made to be listened to, and thats what I'm gonna do, as much as possible
I tend to listen to whole albums over and over again rather than individual songs. That being said there are still a few songs that I constantly listen to. One example would be Found Love by The Fly Bi Nights. Ever since hearing this song in Mad Men it has been one of my most played. There's just something about it that makes me want to listen to it over and over again.
I try not to out of fear of overplay, but I do have a few exceptions. Autoheart’s Punch album is such a nice way to end a long day. The simple melodies and soothing voice of the lead singer make it perfect for relaxing. Persona 4 Dancing in Starlight took a solid soundtrack and made it ten times more catchy. Just about every remix and arrangement is fantastic.
If I find a new song, I’ll listen to it once to see if I like it. Then if I do like it, I’ll listen to it enough to know the rhythm or the chorus. If I still really like it and it has lyrics (one example being “You’re Welcome” from Moana), then I will listen to it enough to know most or all of the lyrics. I once listened to it on repeat for an hour straight (Granted I had to switch classes in between, but the next class I continued to listen). I’m never doing that again. I still like the song though.
Yeah, that happens to me every once and awhile. Three songs that I've listened to on repeat are Michael in the Bathroom from Be More Chill, Next Time/I wouldn't Go Back from Closer Than Ever, and Proud Corazon from Coco. I can just listen to those songs over and over again.
