Houndoom is a very scary Pokémon, and to me one of the scariest. However, Houndoom is also one of my favorites for this reason. One of its dex entries say something about it that come right out of fridge horror, while the other is a clear reference to death itself.

"Long ago, people imagined its eerie howls to be the call of the grim reaper."

Not only that, this thing is based off the mythical creatures of demon dogs, and even Cerberus. If you think about it, that's pretty scary stuff.

Yveltal from the Anime

After watching the Diancie movie, Yveltal's Oblivion Wing terrifies me

 

Honedge. Just by gripping the handle, it drains away your life force.

 

Okey lets be honest here.... Now this is scary.

To make a long story short, the mushroom on Parasect's back controls it. That's pretty scary if you ask me.

 

Hypno- there's just something creepy about it, plus its Pokédex entries are just disturbing. Parasect- Sweet little Paras was killed and taken over by those mushrooms? A little harsh xD And Mr Mime's 3D sprite is just troubling. Arceus, why would you put this stuff in a kid's game? xD

 

*shivers* Mr. Freaking Mime. That thing is horrifying. Just look at it; that's nightmare fuel right there! And the fact that MR. Mime is female half the time does not really help.

 

Alright, there is some creepy stuff in Pokémon games, namely the ones I am about to mention.

Hypno

Pokédex Entry, Pokémon Fire Red: It carries a pendulum-like device. There was once an incident where it took away a child it hypnotized.

Need I say more?

Darkrai/Girantina.

Alright, Darkrai's design creeps me the hell out. He looks like a stalker who you would wake up to on the end of your bed; he's freaking terrifying.

Girantina: Death God. Hell, he will probably pull some Death Note shenanigans one day.

Gengar.

This little purple blob right here steals life. If that ain't terrifying, I don't know what is.

Dusknoir evolution line.

Alright, we got Duskull, who Literaly wears a skull.

FOR A FACE.

Dusclops. Look into his eye, and your eternally sucked into the Void. As for what the void Actualy is, I think that question is better left unanswered.

Alright, he ferries souls to Giratina. Probably pulling some Death Nite shenanigans too.

Rotom.

This guy, this guy right here, is moderately terrifying on his own. Let's think about this one thing though.

He can controll electricity at his own will.

So, alright, we get Rotom, put him in our world, and BAM, we're all screwed, Rotom took all our electricity.

Electrode.

While not entirely scary on his own based on design, his abilities scare me. He explodes, and he explodes to have fun. Then he comes back stronger, like a true Sayan.

And the most freakish Pokémon?

Ditto.

This pink blob terrifies me. His smile, his actions... He justs wants to devour your soul.

Not to mention; he can transform into anything on this list... So yeah

 

The general concept of Ditto weirds me out a little. It just seems like a big mass of cells. While its ability to transform into anything is interesting, it also seems... strange. Do they ever join roaming herds/flocks/packs/etc. of other Pokémon without their knowledge? The estimation that they're failed clones of Mew makes this even creepier, as they're basically an alien, shapeshifting Pokémon that has found its way into so many different environments is really strange.

 

Not even beginning to mention the fact he looks like Mew was ran over with a steamroller (Old joke, you can slap me now). In reality, Ditto is kinda pointless. In my opinion, he is there just as a gimmic Pokémon, like Stantler. Despite his popularity, he is freaky as hell, makes almost no sense.

Then again, Pokémon doesn't make any sense. I mean...
