The BioShock series of games is a lil' slice of insanity that I didn't think I'd need in my life until now. Sooo good and craxy at the same time!

Also it's slowly starting to dawn on me that when I return to uni in a fortnight, I may very well be the only girl in my year. Not too excited about that.

 

But... Don't we have a great amount of options to chat here already? XD

Well anyway talking about bioshock, I really want that game, I should find a place where I can buy it. Same goes for Portal.

@[member="XxLonelinessxX"] Haven't played Infinite yet, and more than likely won't anytime soon because I got it and BioShock 2 as part of PS+ free monthly titles and I'm not renewing my sub for a while. Even bought BioShock 2 on disc so I could keep playing.

@[member="Achromatic "]It's a first person 'shooter' than in a way plays like Bulletstorm except without the comedy. You're thrown into roaming a city called Rapture that's underwater and you literately have to fight to survive because the enemies - splicers - come at you from every damn angle. Swear to god I only realised I was being attacked when damage indicators flashed up on screen on a few occasions. Your choice in weapons is one of two types - guns and powers, and by golly will you be using both. Guns are pretty much your steampunk, bog standard type - pistol, shotgun, machine gun, a cross bow in the vein of the Assassin's Creed games, and a few more, with BioShock 2 mixing up the weapons a bit. Powers or "Plasmids" on the other hand are awesome. You can decide which ones you want to use and you can do everything from throw out fire with your fist to freezing stuff, hypnotising big enemies called Big Daddies into fighting for you to even controlling a swarm of insects. On top of this you can hack machines and take photos of enemies for 'research,' by which you get to inflict extra damage if you do enough. It's rated 18+ here though...

@[member="LostSpirit"] I absolutely lovvved the first game. It has next to none cutscenes, so a lot of the exposition is made through conversations but it was a very interesting plot. If it helps, I genuinely jumped once or twice at some of the twists in it. On the gore scale...it is fairly graphic, but, I've played the likes of Devil May Cry, God Of War, Assassin's Creed and so on so I suppose I'm 'a little' used to such stuff in games.

Finished BioShock 2 today. Ehhh. It was...okay. Don't see why there had to be a sequel though.

 

Yeah I checked on Portal and Bioshock after I posted that... I don't own a PS3, so I'm fucked X_X
