As indicated by the title, this club has everything to do with the anime that everyone loves, One Piece. I decided to create a club of my own and I thought one dedicated to my favourite anime, would do just fine. It's currently a work in progress but I have a couple ideas in mind.

Since One Piece is all about pirates, I thought that if I get enough members, there will be an opportunity for the club members to partake as rival pirate crews straight from the anime. Once you sign up, you'll be assigned to a crew. The first members to sign up will be assigned by default to the Straw Hat crew, so there's a little incentive for you if you're a diehard fan of Luffy's crew.

Another addition to this club is member bounties. Quite simply, the more you post in the club and the more active you are, the higher your bounty will become. Likewise, the less you post, the more your bounty will decrease. Each member will start off with a [IMG] 5,000 bounty. You will be also be able to earn bounty from club competitions.

Alright, now let's look at some rules:

Rule #1: Adhere to all Lake Valor rules.
Rule #2: Whether you agree or disagree with another member in this club, you will still respect each other. Cussing, slating and any form of discrimination to another member will land you an immediate ban from the Straw Hat Crew.
Rule #3: Spamming, flaming and belligerency is not tolerated.
Rule #4: Blatant back-and-forth off-topic posts to increase your bounty is fraudulant and if you're caught doing so I will reset your bounty to 0.
Rule #5: Have fun. This thread is for you to enjoy and the more fun we can have here the better.
Rule #6: If you're inactive for a period longer than around 2-3 weeks, you'll unfortunately be kicked out of the club.

    Member requirements:

    1. A minimum of 30 posts
    2. A good standing on the website
    3. Fair knowledge of One Piece and the terminology associated with it

    Sign up form:

    Name/Nickname:
    Favourite One Piece character:
Position that you'd like to be in on a pirate ship (shipwright, cook etc.):
Preferred fighting technique: (sniper, swordsman etc.):

Currently, I don't have any events planned but there will be a few come this weekend. Possible events could include Pokémon battles, Roleplaying competitons, Mafia and so forth. Also, I'll be assessing members for moderatorship positions in this club. The aforementioned positions are First Mate and Navigator. They will be in charge when I'm away or inactive, the latter hopefully won't happen.

That's pretty much it. Sign ups are now OPEN!

Accepted! Good to have you aboard, Kaeda.

As for a proper talking point, what was your favourite arc and why? Was it the battling, the funny moments or the new characters introduced that made you like more than others?

Thanks! and my favorite arc, I'll have to say the first arc to imperial down(the imperial down arc I had to read the manga to find out what was now going on and all the rest after they cancel it on tv, I had to watch it online with the english subs, tbh). I loved the battles, the funny moments, the characters they introduced, and the emotional moments they added, like in the first season with most of the funny moments involve Luffy (and occasionally Uosap) doing seriously stupid stuff, the battle at imperial down, and the Death of Ace; which was the most emotional moment I've ever seen, sadly more sadder than Robin's childhood, his death made me burst out in tears.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you there, Ace didn't deserve to die. Hands down my favourite character tied with Luffy. He's got a great personality and the way he died to save his brother was emotional. A very sad moment.
My least favourite arc would have to be the beginning and middle of the Sky Island arc. The final battle is epic but the initial parts just didn't captivate me as much.

Yeah, and what was even more emotional about that was when Luffy did the BSOD(blood scream of death) after seeing his adopted brother die right in front of him for saving his life, seriously I felt for him.
Yeah, I have to agree with you on that, it was just--eh.

If you don't mind me just saying, what was the creators thinking when they decided to give the most powerful fruit to a psychopath? seriously I feel they majorly troll the hell out of us, like they had a meeting on how to end the arc and decided to troll us by doing that. Like this how it want 'Dude:okay guys, we need to find a way to end this arc, got any ideas? Random person:I GOT A IDEA! Dude:Yes? Random person:How about we troll the audience by giving Whitebeard's fruit to blackbeard? What's the best why to end a arc then with a major trolling point! Dude:BRILLIANT!"

Accepted! Welcome to my crew Insight!

If you'd like to know anything else about the club or would like to suggest ways to improve it, please let me know. The more you post, the higher bounty you'll get and I'm thinking of assigning character roles to each member, so a higher bounty will land you a 'cooler' character.

Topic for today: What is your favourite Devil Fruit power and why? Which do you feel trumps most others? Do you perhaps have a Devil Fruit power that you've come up with? Let us know.

My favorite Devil Fruit power would have to be the Yami Yami no Mi which lets you control darkness and the Mera Mera no Mi also called Flame-Flame Fruit because being able to shoot fire would be pretty cool. Plus in my opinion the way that the Devil Fruit looks is cool. Those colors stand out the most out of the other Devil Fruit. The Devil Fruit I think is the strongest would be the Yami Yami no Mi fruit since it takes away the Devil Fruit powers of another person by just touching them. It also lets you control darkness so you can absorb any attack and turn it into darkness.

Also do you want us to make a wanted poster of are selves?

The Flame-Flame Fruit is also currently my favourite Devil Fruit Power. I'm quite into pyro characters and Ace is perfectly suited to his Devil Fruit power. I don't really like Devil Fruit's that cancel another power or ability. It seems cheap to me although they can be quite powerful and effective. It's like Crocodile's draught ability that allows him to summon sandstorms and tear down opponents through malnutrition. I don't approve of powers that render another power obsolete because where's the fun in that?

In reply to your question: Well, I originally intended for them to be for the most active user (since I was the only member at the time, my mug was on it) but you propose an interesting idea. If you would want one, I can see what my Photoshop skills can do. Obviously, since avatars are only about 120x120, those images wouldn't work but if you can link me to a large enough image that is similar to your avatar that will fit in the poster, that would do. I'm against shrinking the posters since it reveals less information but I'll experiment a bit and see what happens.

    +100 Berri Rep btw
