    (Evan's P.O.V.)

I have been wandering around for days. Ever since she saved my life and disappeared the next day, I've been seeking something... but I don't know what it is myself. My name is Evan. I'm an Eevee. Though, you wouldn't think so if you saw me. That's because my fur is gray, there's a black stripe running down my back, black rings around my ankles, a crimson red blend at the end of my tail, and my mane only goes over my chest. Yeah, not what you would find on your average Eevee.

Two months ago, I was alone. No one wanted anywhere near me because of my appearance. They don't believe I'm an Eevee, but my father was an umbreon and my mother was an espeon, so what else could I be? I was about to give up my life until she came and stopped me. Her name was Kiara. She was a Celebi. Kiara told me that there was something I had to do. Something that threatens the balance of the worlds was about to take place and I was the only one who could stop it. The very next day, she disappeared without a trace. Typical time travelers, appointing some random Pokémon to save something and vanish like that. However, I wasn't about to let the world as I knew it be destroyed. Sure, there wasn't much for me in this world, but that didn't mean that no one else should enjoy life.

I searched in the forest, by the lakes, and I went up in the mountains trying to find my destiny. I found nothing. However, in the silence of the peaks, I heard something soothing echo in the air. It was the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I followed the sound of the music and I came across an Absol. He was lying down with an ocarina in his paws. Something that was different than I had expected from an Absol was that there was a scar across his back. He didn't seem to notice me as I walked up to him as I listened to the song he played.

When he finished, he looked up at me with a blank expression as if I was no stranger. "Who are you?" He asked not matching his facial expression.

"My name is Evan. What's yours?" I asked. He didn't answer. Instead, he looked down.

"Why would you so willingly ask of my name?" I tried to look him in the eyes, but he refused to let me. "Do you not realize what I am?"

"You're an Absol, I know, but what does that matter?" I asked. He was obviously shocked with my response because he looked at me with curiosity. "May I have your name please?" I asked again.

"I have no name. I have no use for one since I don't have any friends."

"Why not?" I asked. He looked at me as if that was the dumbest question he'd ever heard. "Oh... right. Well, how about I be your friend." I offered.

"You do realize that if that happens, your friends will abandon you?"

"Well then, I guess my imaginary friends will have to go." He looked at me like I was just a hatchling. "The truth is, I'm just like you if you say you don't have any friends to speak of." I said lowering my head. He looked at me with pity.

"What do you mean 'you' don't have any friends?"

"What do you think I am?" I asked wanting to see if he could guess based on my appearance.

"Oh... well... uhm..." He examined my features that I mentioned before. "You're... uhm... an Eevee?"

"Is that an answer or a guess?" I asked knowing that he wasn't sure.

"My answer. Are you an Eevee?" I smiled.

"Good guess. Yeah, I'm an Eevee. Though I don't really look like one." I said miserably.

"Hey, it's okay. You know, I think we can be friends. But I still don't have a name. You can just refer to me as Absol." I nodded, but ideas started to flow into my head for different names I could give him.

"How about Alex?" He looked at me.

"How about... no." He said in a slightly mimicing voice.

    "Adam?"

"No?" He said with sarcasm in his voice this time.

    "What about Alejandro or Alan?"

    "Sure."

    "Really?"

    "No." He said flatly.

"Abby?" I smirked as he looked at me like that was some kind of joke.

"NO!" He yelled as an echo sounded in the mountainous air. As we walked, I continued trying to give him a name that seemed right and he continued to deny them.

I'm actually going to post the next chapter each time the previous one gets 10 views. Any less and I'm not posting the next one.
