Memories have an odd way of working. Certain things stick out in our minds while other things fade, so faded that they seem like a dream. What are those things that people have either done or said that are still very clear in your memory for one reason or another? For me, it was something a doctor said at this behavioral convention in Las Vegas. He was talking about this one patient that he had, who was a pretty terrible person, and the doctor said something that I would never have expected. "Don't criticize those terrible things, admire them! These kids worked so on them, they worked on them to survive!" So, now it's your turn. Go ahead and share.
My dad telling me that my breakdowns and my illnesses are not my fault and that the school that had me was at fault for mistreating me. It meant a lot because he used to be very intolerant.
A teacher once said that I reminded her of the poster that hung in the back of the classroom. It was a poster of a cat walking fearlessly in front of a dog pack. I was the cat according to her and my classmates, the dogs. She thought that one day I would be able to walk just as fearlessly. Being a bullied student it meant so much to me that someone saw me being a worthy person.
I missed a huge opportunity to win the game for my sport team and it killed me. It was a game winning moment in the final of our tournament and normally I'm a lock down player who doesn't mess up but it killed me.
I'll never forget how much I love cats Seriously though, I don't think I'll ever forget coming to LV for the first time. This was my first forum, and I was honestly scared to actually come here. But I made my intro post, and I knew I was accepted by you guys. Thanks for making LV a great place for me
Coming out as lesbian and dealing with the COMPLETE AND UTTER NUCLEAR FALLOUT resulting from a few people. The one thing I'll never forget is someone very recently reaching out to me to talk, which is something I'll never forget. You know who you are. #MissingNo
"Try to read people's mind and body. Social signals are the most important during both personal and business life" I learned from someone at University, that I always need to try to guess what the other people is thinking and use it in my benefit everytime I can. After all, even love is a matter of signals and chemistry; a matter of alchemy when you must give something to obtain something. Even today it is an important part of my point of view.
