So before continuing just want to say Spoilers ahead for anyone who has not completed the delta episode to some extent.

    Spoilers start now!~

So as many as you know, when you need to go talk to Wallace about rayquaza we get a bit of a cameo reference to AZ, and how AZ might have come to the Hoenn region, and planted a tree (The one near the cave of origin) that is now fully grown. Now lets look back a bit in the story. During the events of Groudon and/or Kyogre going berserk we get to see the Tree but it looks like it's leafs are gone and would be dying a bit. Now of course a tree will not easily collapse in such conditions in some cases. So nothing too crazy there, but we see the tree grow back it's leaves so quickly during the story. Idk how much time goes by but the tree probably shouldn't be blossoming in such a quick amount of time, if anything during the story it probably should just begin blooming, or have buds. Thus it makes me wonder about two things. Is there some sort of power or energy in Sootopolis that causes this tree to grow its leaves so quickly? After all last i checked Sootopolis doesn't have any other type of plants or trees (I could be wrong don't quote me on this). My other idea i wonder about is what if this tree was planted with some sort of special seed? What if the tree had some sort of infinite energy running through it? What if the tree was actually the life force of some special Pokémon? What do you guys think? Do you think the tree has some deeper meaning besides being planted by AZ? Do you think it will play some sort of part later on in the future? Or is it just there for small plot purposes? Post your thoughts. :)

When you defeat Primal Groudon/Kyogre, the energy that had been building up in Sootopolis is released throughout the region. Unlike how it had been building, the energy is now harmless and people remark about how warm it feels, as if it were life energy anew. So I wouldn't be surprised if that was why it healed. :)

Well, there are rumors of a possible DLC coming out, and they could definitely do something with that idea and maybe a legendary Pokémon.

I don't think that the tree in Sootopolis will really lead up to anything. It is probably just another reference to another Pokémon game that made fans get excited for no reason.

I like that the tree was a reference to AZ, I remember spotting the Eternal Flower underneath the tree after the events with Primal Groudon/Kyogre and being very surprised. It would be neat if a possible Eternal Flower Floette event happened there in the future, but it's most likely just a nod to XY and its connection with ORAS.

I really liked the reference that they added together, unfortunately, I don't think it will lead to anything except perhaps a Pokémon Z?
