    I really hope someone has heard of or played this gem of a game. The World Ends With You (TWEWY) is a game that was made a while back by Square Enix; those of you not familiar with it probably only remember this game from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. While it has been a few years since I've touched the game myself, I still hold it near and dear to my heart and get a huge nostalgia trip whenever I see it. TWEWY is a DS game about "The Reaper's Game" a game in which the player and several other characters are sucked into to have another chance at life- since they are. After all. Dead. Yeah. Are they any fond memories you have of this game? Did you love the plot? Have you been waiting for that sequel Square Enix teased us with? Who's your favorite character? Please discuss this series with me- after all the World Ends With You!

    Yes! I absolutely loved this game when I got it for my DS. This game always schoked me when certain points of the story was let out (like everyone is dead)

    Ryhme has always been my favorite. No clue why. Just is.

    I noticed your coloring and shading style reminded me of this game! Goddd I love TWEWY, its plot inspires me so much. Who did you like the most? Or what week was your favorite? SCREAMS WITH YOU TO THE HEAVENS. I really need that sequel ;_;

    Ikr! I was shocked that Josh was the one that killed Neku when I learned, it was pretty twisted- but he's still my favorite. Rhyme is really cute! I loved her, it was cool she came back as a noise.
    The plot was just so good and the characters all had their own stories. Ghhh the game play and plot are so good

    I didn't think about people who didn't know the game would stumble across this topic! Haha sorry, spoilers added~

    Wow, people. Spoilers. You might want to put those in tags so you don't spoil it for people who haven't played the game yet. Just a friendly heads-up.

    TWEWY I was recommended once by a few friends, so I decided to scour GameStop for it, and I found it at GameStop for $18. Not bad, really. It was unlike any game I'd ever played before, but then again, I am not really into the Japanese culture scene, so a lot of it was unusual and new to me. (Not a bad new, by any means.)

    I'm not sure if it was just me, but the plot actually seemed to accelerate as it got closer to the end. The days, on average, took less real-world time to finish - or at least they did on Week 3. The first and second weeks were very heavy into puzzle-solving and getting used to the game; the third was basically "Surprise! Plot!"

    I did manage to get my character to Level 100 (it's actually not that hard) and felt like getting a large chunk of the pins (I think about 80% of my library is complete? I have GameFAQs to thank for that), though the main pleasure I have found when playing the game is just replaying the plot. Over, and over, and over again. It doesn't get old. There are no strange unexplained bits and there's really nothing that feels like a deus ex machina. Or at least not a blatant one. Everything seems to make sense and was carefully planned out - nothing truly came from nowhere.

    My favorite character is Sho Minamimoto, because of his constant trigonometry references.

    I love the game! Though at first the mechanics were really, really tricky to get used to.. like you have to look at both screens while fighting bosses; it took mad, mad concentration to pull off! However, Neku was a blast and I loved the rest; though the final boss was a bit of a let down... maybe because of the pins I've used, they WERE pretty overpowered, haha.

    Well, there is a pin you get near game's end that makes it notoriously easy to fight against, since the pin hits multiple times in rapid succession. It works wonders on normal bosses too, since it doesn't cause flinch. I believe you can also use 2 copies of it in your pin line-up at any given moment as well; I know I did for quite a while, just to really escalate my damage output.

    The name of the pin in question, for those who would rather find out later, is:
    Lightning Rook

    I played this game a week ago and it was great! The characters and story were just what I look for in games. Why was I so zetta slow to getting around to playing this?
