The world of Lake Valor

Wake the Empoleon yawned, kicking back in the cool, clear lake. She had missed the refreshing waters of her childhood hangout after she had met a trainer to go on adventures with. Now that her trainer had settled down in Sunnyshore City, Wake was absolutely delighted to fulfill her longing nostalgia for the place.

Her gaze absentmindedly wandering to the shore some distance away, she noticed a little blue Pokémon splashing into the water. She couldn't help but stare as the Pokémon scampered back out again, the water seeming to freeze on its skin. Curious as to what this new Pokémon could be, Wake twisted gracefully towards the shore before jetting forwards with the help of her powerful flippers.

Flying over the glittering lake, Gold the Togekiss was enjoying the peaceful day. Gold felt free in the wide sky, drifting in and out of the clouds, happily goofing around. For as long as she could remember, she was always free. Sure, she was lonely sometimes, but she had always been afraid of meeting other Pokémon. She never really felt as if she had evolved. For her, she was still a little togepi, hiding in her shell. However, she still was happy with her life. Seeing other Pokémon and people happy made her happy, and she would spread that happiness by leaving little gifts for others. However, she still had a sense of duty. She made a promise to herself to help others who needed help. Give them a blessing she told herself, give them joy. You're the jubilee Pokémon after all.
When she got tired, she finally landed in the trees that surrounded the beautiful blue lake. This is when she noticed the small little dinosaur with a pained expression. Gold had never seen anything like this Pokémon. What was it? She hid in the trees, watching the the dinosaur carefully dipping it's foot into the water. Gold laid still wondering what the little blue dino was doing.

As Wake got closer to the shore, she became more and more certain that she had never seen a Pokémon quite like the little blue creature shaking ice off of it's hide. She frowned slightly, slowing down to a more casual pace as she neared the shallows. She hoped that this strange Pokémon was friendly, but her years of battling made her flex her claws just in case. Finally reaching the shallow waters, Wake hesitantly stood and made her way closer to the Pokémon, who she couldn't help but notice seemed slightly worried. Donning a neutral expression, Wake bowed her head just slightly.

"Hello, I do not believe we have met. I am Wake."

Gold was watching the little blue creature when she noticed a large shadow in the water. It made its way over to the dino. Gold felt uneasy. The shadow was huge. Would the dino get hurt? Gold couldn't shake off her anxiousness. She stayed where she was though. Maybe it wasn't going to be bad. Calm down. Roost. After a few moments, she saw the shadow begin to rise. It was a magnificent Empoleon. With that, Gold began to feel easier. She had seen Empoleons before. As long as an Empoleon's pride wasn't touch, she knew the little dino was safe. Gold felt a wave of relief come over her. With a large smile, Gold made herself comfortable in the trees. She knew she was going to witness something interesting.

 

Exploring in the woods was Dusk the Musharna, it was a perfect place to enjoy the surroundings of the trees and watching the clouds. For the first time Dusk was enjoying a place that wasn't too noisy like the Unova region. As soon as he evolved to Musharna he decided to visit Sinnoh since he heard a lot of stories and one of the best places to visit in Sinnoh was the Lake Valor. Seeing new Pokémon made him very lucky, he could get new friends.

As soon as he kept thinking he could hear noises in the lake, so he floated to the lake and found it was some type of dinosaur splashing in the water, as he inspected better the place he noticed another Pokémon that it looks like some type of penguin wearing a crown.

With a lot of curiosity Dusk stopped under a tree to observe if something interesting was going to happen.

Dusk was a little shy to reply at the dinosaur, he could also feel the gazes of the mysterious penguin thing and big white bird who was on the tree above him.

So trying the best Dusk turn to look to the dinosaur and said: "Hello! im Dusk a Musharna, also im a Psychic type!" replying with happiness.

Now not feeling shy Dusk asked a second question to the dinosaur "Who are you? And who are them?" asked Dusk to the dinosaur and now trying to know who were the other two mysterious Pokémon.

 

The sounds of crashing coming from the surrounding brush would suddenly interrupt the Pokémon's meeting, before a voice yelled:

"Look out!"

A flash of green shot from the trees, just narrowly missing hitting the water as it crashed to the ground, skidding and rolling until ultimately hitting a tree so hard the branches rattled. The blur, now revealed to be a Flygon, flopped limply with a groan in the upside-down position he had ended up in, limbs twitching. "Ow..." Cracking his eyes open, the Dragon didn't bother to right himself due to being sore and tired. Instead he opted to glance around, noticing the small group of Pokémon nearby. Well, this was embarrassing, on top of everything else. It hadn't been his best landing after all.

 

Wake watched Snow jump up in down in happiness, and she couldn't help but smile. It had been a long time since she had met someone as enthusiastic as Snow, and the contagious energy almost made her feel like a young piplup again. Turning to face the new Pokémon, Dusk and the Pokémon hiding in the tree, Wake bowed her head slightly again and opened her beak to begin introducing herself to them. That is, before something yelled unintelligibly and a green Pokémon shot out from the trees, nearly grazing her wing.

With a startled roar, Wake whirled around to face the now sprawling Pokémon, her eyes wide open to see if it would attack. It moaned slightly, but didn't move further. Wake narrowed her eyes, deciding to wait and see what this Pokémon would do next. Noticing that it seemed to be now looking in her direction, Wake took a protective step in front of Snow and Dusk. By now, she had relaxed slightly but was still wary of the crashed Pokémon.

What if it's not actually attacking? Wake thought to herself. It's better to be safe than sorry, though. Might as well let it make the first move, and see if it's friendly from there.

 

Axel the Haxorus stopped to catch his breath. Ever since he was released by his trainer life has been difficult here in the Sinnoh Region. He has befriended a young and cocky Flygon but his mischief has angered a sleeping Garchomp. We had been running when Flygon flew up to look around and got hit with a Draco Meteor and crash-landed somewhere. Just as he was ready to get back on his feet, something hard hit him the back and sent him flying.
The last thing he saw before landing and passing out is five figures and a beautiful lake.

Panting, the Flygon noticed how wary the Empoleon seemed and he was briefly confused by it. Pain made his thought process a little slow, but after another moment the dragon understood why. Groaning again the Flygon forced himself to flop to the side in order to more right himself. Landing on his wing made the Pokémon wince, but upon sitting up, he tucked them in tightly. "That Garchomp hit me hard..." He muttered under his breath spitefully. There would be vengeance, later when he had the strength.

Focusing back on the other group of Pokémon, the Flygon tried to look friendly as he could with the little amount of energy he still had. "Relax, I'm not going to hurt any of you. I got attacked. There's a rampaging Garchomp around here that got wound up somehow. I didn't get to see by whom or what before it blasted me out of the sky..."

 

Hearing that the Pokémon meant no harm, Wake sighed in relief and took a more relaxed stance. While it was good that there wouldn't be a fight now, it wasn't the most encouraging of news to hear that a Garchomp was raging about somewhere nearby. She hoped it didn't come to the lake, she had planned on a nice relaxing day free of getting thrown around by angry dragons.

"Are you alright?" Wake asked the Pokémon, noticing how stiff and pained its movements were. She turned around to face the Pokémon behind her. "Does anyone have any berries?"

 

In a couple of seconds many interesting events happened. First a dragon crashed near the penguin Pokémon and the dinosaur gone to help it, then an Haxorus which surprised Dusk to see a Unova Pokémon in Sinnoh passed out.

"Oh no!" Dusk floated over the Haxorus to check it and find it has been hurted by some type of attack.
"What should i do?" Dusk kept thinking the same words for a couple of seconds before he remember that he had a Revival Herb that he had taken to use if it was necessary.
"This should help, but you won't like how it taste....." Dusk said and gived the revival herb to the dragon.

 

The Flygon couldn't help but be surprised at the generosity and friendliness the Amaura was showing to a complete stranger like him. It had the dragon staring at her a moment in confusion before remembering his condition. Not only that, but it would be rude not to accept the offering. "Oh, uh, thank you..." He finally said, reaching out to take the Sitrus Berry as it was dropped into his waiting claws. It didn't take him long to take a big bite of it, and almost immediately felt better. Finishing it the Flygon sighed, leaning back against the tree behind him. The berry hadn't fully returned his health, but a significant amount had been recovered, so the Pokémon wasn't complaining. "I'm Zeke. Sorry if I scared any of you before, I just didn't want to hit anyone."

Hearing voices to the side then, Zeke turned his head and saw Dusk helping none other than the Haxorus that caused all the trouble with the Garchomp. He scowled, but didn't say anything just yet considering the other Dragon was unconscious.

 

"OH MY ARCEUS!!" Axel yelled. "What the... who are you?" Axel got into a fighting stance in case these Pokémon attacks. He looked around, Empoleon, Togekiss, Musharna, and Amaura. All dangerous. Then he saw Zeke.
"What's wrong with you man?!" Axel yelled. 'Why did you have to go and wake up the Garchomp for?" "Garchomp maybe coming any second. Everyone leave while you still can. I'll deal with this." After saying that Axel started shaking and a mystical fire rose up and spun around him until it entered his body, making him look more lethal.

 

"Leave?" Wake scoffed, stepping closer to the Haxorus. "If there's something dangerous coming, I'm not going to just turn and run with my crown lowered." Wake's eyes narrowed, her chest puffing out slightly. "Or do you not think any of us can hold our own?"

Wake turned to look at the now quite significant group of Pokémon by the lake, before casting a sideways glance back at the haxorus. "There's about six of us here. If we band together, we have the strength of a team. If we just run, other Pokémon could get hurt." She looked back at Snow, before trailing her gaze across the other Pokémon. "What do you guys say?"

 

Shooting the Haxorus a dirty look, Zeke held his tongue in regards to what he wanted to say to the other dragon to instead turn to Wake, eyes fierce behind the red tinted lenses around them. "I myself want to get back at that Garchomp for knocking me out of the sky for no reason. However, are we sure all of us should fight back?" Briefly the Flygon looked to Snow.

It wasn't that he thought the Amaura was incapable of fighting, but rather the fact that she was un-evolved, and seemed innocent and friendly. The dragon didn't want to see her accidentally get injured if she followed them, no matter how good her intentions may be. Just how young was she anyway? And what about the other Pokémon? What if they didn't all want to fight? "Maybe we should split up into two or three groups. We'll need to warn the other Pokémon around his area about the Garchomp, and possibly get them to safety while the rest of us deal with the problem."
