Themed Teams!

If I make themed teams, they are usually either Monocolor, or a simply based on the music I'm listening to. I do it due to it being fun, since I don't like the tiers. I have this one team that inspired me to actually make some rules for Monocolor, and plan a tournament using the rules. I'm planning on having the sign ups open after there are 2 or less tournaments. Naturally, if there are multiple people who want to see it happen & participate, I'll at least consider making it regardless of the number of active tournaments.

I hardly theme mine but on the ons I do they're either monotype or some random theme. I had one that was based off the TV Show The Flash, they were all red and had "OTT" Speed.
I can't say I theme my teams too much but it's a thing I like to do sometimes, it's entertaining, coming up with crazy themes.

 

I did a sorta Batman-Villain-themed team once, but it was mostly for the naming.

Crobat - Deatstroke (Batman would be too easy, and that Crobat was an assassin if there ever was one, totally OP)
Feraligatr - KillerCroc (It was him or Empoleon Cobblepot)
Cacturne - Scarecrow (later replaced by Roserade Poison Ivy)
Exploud - Hush
Hariyama - Bane (This was before Hawlucha)
SpecZam- Ra'sAlGhul

The team wasn't particularly good. In the future, I'll make my teams strategically an see if I can just theme their names.

 

I occasionally play mono ability with some friends but the teams are often filled with PU and NFE pokes which would get crushed if I brought them on the ladder. Other than that, not really tbh. I mean unless you count bringing a team of generally defensive Pokémon with things like choice band and life orbs then yeah I do that when I'm bored
