Hola, amigos. It is I, LV’s Ridley main, back at it with another smash thread. So, yeah. The title is pretty self explanatory. I think it’d be fun to have these themed tournaments. There are many franchises in smash and even under represented franchise could be used. Let’s try to get the franchises that have a decent amount of reps first. (We won’t come into this problem with Mario and Fire Emblem). But what theme would y’all want to start or with first? Also, please keep in mind this a future thing. Let’s have a real smash tournemant first before we have these niche ones. Please provide an explanation. And finally, should Mario be grouped with the DK series, Wario, and Yoshi?
I went with the Miis because I just like the idea of a tournament where we're all our respective Mii Fighters. It just has this nice sort of creativity and surprise since you don't really know what you're up against each round. But tbh all of those tournaments sound great to me except maybe Star Fox. Also, I think Yoshi and Wario should be grouped with Wario (I personally think Wario deserves to represent his own series but he's its only rep), but Donkey Kong should be it's own series for this. Another idea I have (which you may or may not have already thought of), is have more characters in a tournament that aren't technically from that series, but rather act as a stand-in for a character that isn't otherwise playable. Basically how Spirit battles make the battle like fighting the Spirit character and not the actual fighter.
Sonic: Shadow (dark mewtwo) Big the Cat (Purple inceneroar), Tails (some fox alt), Eggman (some bowser junior alt), Omega (Red Rob), Vector (Default King K. Rool) Metal Gear: Revovler ocelot (Bayonetta?), Raiden (Black and red Marth) I can’t think of any other series, sorry.
A few more I thought of could be: - Young Link for Sword Knight (Kirby) - Gray alt Kirby for Shadow Kirby (Kirby) - Black/Gray alt Meta Knight for Dark Meta (Kirby) I voted for the Miis. I might be able to join these Smash things now that I have Ultimate, too (although literally any opponent can beat me)(and I don't have Onling yet, but that'll change in time).
I like the idea of a Cat theme. Cat's are cute, and I've tried out Inceneroar before. (Maybe I'm biased though since I spent like a full year bringing purple sparkly cat ears to school)
I brought them especially on christmas because my school wouldn't tell me off cos everyone was wearing reindeer ears. I don't have em anymore though. I'd love to bring em to school again, I just settle for making my Youtube channel mascot have cat ears.
