Ahh yes, alarms. Quite a useful invention, wouldn't you agree? But I'm sure you'd also agree that they're the type of thing you get real tired of real fast, right?
Sometimes you're able to customize them though, such as giving it a certain ringtone (a song, for example), or having the radio play when it goes off.
A couple months ago, I thought it'd be pretty funny to have all my alarm sounds be the noise DoodleBob from Spongebob makes.
Needless to say, it was a pretty funny experience when I was listening to music in the morning and my alarm goes off at the perfect time.

But I digress. Do you have alarms you set on a daily/weekly basis? If so, what occasions do you set them for?
I myself have multiple alarms I set for school. I go to school at around 1 PM, so I have alarms set for:
    • 11:30 AM
    • 11:50 AM
    • 12:10 PM
    • 12:20 PM
    • 12:30 PM
    • 12:40 PM
    • 12:50 PM
    • 1:00 PM
Yes, I'm "that" kind of person. (a lazy fuck)
But, I don't have all of them enabled at once.
    My usual routine would be:
    • 12:20 PM
    • 12:40 PM
    • 12:50 PM
    • 1:00 PM
But sometimes I'll switch it around by enabling and disabling a few different ones.
It really depends on what time I go to sleep, how sleepy I'm feeling, how "early" I feel like I have to get up in order to get ready for tomorrow, and etc.

Normally I would have an alarm that goes off at 6 am each day (4 out of 7 days I actually need to be up at that time) but uh, I'm not exactly the best at obeying my alarm strictly  normally I'd spend a half hour to an hour lying in bed till I finally decided to haul myself out. On the days I don't need to be up it's worse: I usually hear it, acknowledge it, then go on to sleep for 2 or 3 hours. Needless to say I very loosely follow my alarm haha, but it works in the end.

Since we don't have a phone, we set the alarm on our dad's mobile phone on the weekdays to 5AM. He usually gets up earlier to do his work, but for us, it goes of at five to remind us that we have to wake up at 5:30. Most of the time we don't hear it due to tiredness, but our dad does since the phone is next to him, so he has to wake us up at 5:30 to get ready for school. Sometimes we usually have 5-10 minutes extra because it's that tiring.

The alarm is sometimes annoying, disturbing us from our peaceful sleep and waking us up from our dreams, but it has to be done. The ringtone is a morning melody whereas in my dad's previous phone (not long ago he replaced it), the ringtone was a rooster. I much prefer the rooster since I love animals.

    Oh alarms.

I usually try to be up by 7 everyday because I did research on sleep and learned that it's best to try to sleep and rise at the same times.
Through pravtival application I've learned that the ease of waking that early is tied to how early I sleep. So I usually have an alarm at 11:30 pm, then one at 6:30 and another at 7AM. Usually I wake up by 9. Unless I don't go to bed until 1 or 2, then it's hello 11 AM

I set multiple alarms with 15-minute increments to go off before the time I have to leave the house. For example, if I have to leave my house at around 7 am, I set three alarms to ring at 6 am, 6:15 am, and 6:30, and let the snooze button do the rest.

I got an alarm for school during the weekend. Right now as I'm about to sleep, because it's midnight, I got one set for 0530 and a second at 0615. I have it playing short change hero to go off in the morning which is very pleasant to hear

I have never used an alarm in my life. I have never needed to. It sounds trite, but it's true - my mind is geared to notify me at appropriate times when things must be done. My sleep schedule is robust enough so that I never sleep in, I write things on my calendar so that I will know when they happen...

Yes, I have never used an alarm, because I have other quieter substitutes.

I have my alarm set on the other side of my room, this way I have to physically get out of bed to turn it off, thereby waking me up some.
Mine's just a standard alarm clock, so I can't customize it, but it's annoying enough that I want to turn it off lol

I used to be heavily alarm-dependent, but I've broken out of it. Even when I had to be ready for work at 7AM I eventually just got into a pattern of being ready when I needed to be. Don't underestimate the power of habit.

Outside of that, I still set them for unusual situations, one-time deals. I need to wake up early on one particular day, or call someone at a certain time I do that. Nothing routine though. I just don't need it.

I used to use alarms, but then I got used to them and slept through them. They are only of temporary use for me. Personally, I think the best alarm is mom, who uses her own alarm to get up in the morning. She wakes me up because she can actually hear them, which makes me wonder why she can't hear her phone when I call her.

My alarm makes a shrill, annoying beeping sound when it goes off. Which means I have to roll my butt out of bed and turn it off before it annoys the rest of the hall. On days my classes start at 10 AM, my alarm goes off at 8:15 AM. On days when my classes start at noon, I have a 10:30 AM class after my 8:15 alarm goes off. That's right, I wake up at 8:15, then go back to sleep until 10:30, just to make sure I don't oversleep. And sometimes I still just lay in bed until 11. On days like the weekend when my alarms don't go off, I usually don't get out of bed at least 11.

My alarm plays the loudest Thrash Metal song I could personally find whenever it goes off. It's set to 5:30 so I can get out of the house before anyone else wakes up. But before that, I set it to 5:30 so I could get ready for school. c:

Because of my regularly late schedule (work sometimes gets out at 3-4 AM and I don't get some until 5 AM sometimes), I typically set my alarms for times between 8:30 and 9 AM. I don't need a whole lot of sleep, and if I sleep too long I become extremely lethargic, so just a few hours of sleep is good for me.

I have three alarms that I typically set on my phone. One plays the Attack on Titan main theme (the first one), one plays They Will Know Our Names from Xenoblade, and the final one just plays Shulk screaming "I'M REALLY FEELING IT" repeatedly until I turn off the alarm, haha.

I'd more be more tolerant of alarms if I didn't have to end my slumber so suddenly. When I have next to zero energy/motivation.

I've got an alarm. Some might even call it a phone, but I've been using it more as an alarm these days rather than a device people use talk-a-talk and text all the thingys on. Seems to be doing a damn good job of waking me up, too, going off even when I've got the damn yoke switched off!

I don't really use alarms because I don't have any major need to, and also most alarm sounds really scare me... it's some kind of weird phobia lol. The alarm sound on the DS Lite is the most terrifying sound I've ever heard. XD

The DS Lite has an alarm? Does the 3DS have it, too?^^

    I'll vouch for this too.
This was the only time I ever actually tried using an alarm, just to test it out. I found out I couldn't leave the interface without turning the alarm off - which defeated the purpose, really.

The 3DS does not have an alarm.

I used alarm sometimes, in case I want to wake up at 7 o'clock in the Sunday or whenever I want to wake up early.
