Art requires a lot of time commitment and unfortunately things get in the way. How well are you guys able to balance work/school/life and art? Often times I find myself struggling to find a good balance between school and art. Most of my time for art is saved for the weekends, but even then I find myself slammed with school work.
..yeah. I'm always busy with school work or just life in general throughout the week, so I only really have time to draw on the weekends too. But most of the time I'm so tired when the weekend comes that I can't be bothered to draw
Most of my art is for a hobby, and it's really common for me to draw while I'm listening to a lecture or lesson or something like that. Unless it's something that I need to take notes for, drawing helps me to focus on what I'm listening to, and since I do it while I'm doing school work, there's never really been much of a management issue for me.
I'm very non-serious about my drawings these days and I'm also very, very slow considering the "medium" I use. My laborious job tires me out and typically I don't wanna draw until a day off.
I try do my sketches during my work's lunch breaks (or really long phonecalls hahah) and then when I get home I half my screen, one side has youtube/netflix and the other has photoshop. Unfortunately I'm a huge procrastinator. Often my screen ends up half video half general internet....like it is now. >_>''
Seeing as I don't have that much homework this semester, I want to say it is going well enough? probably a bit different when I start writing my thesis for real.
