What are your holiday traditions? When did you start them? Do you like doing them? Have you thought of ever doing something different?

My family has our big meal on christmas eve. On christmas, the kids are allowed to get into their stockings, but not the presents until after breakfast when everyone is awake. All day we snack on crackers, cheese and pettifores.

Getting up early in the morning (i'm talking like 5-6am here), then waiting for everyone to get there so we can open the presents--after that, we all continue on with our daily lives with our new stuff until dinner to which we probably have a lot more people and/or food.
