    If you're a regular internet-goer, you might be familiar with the acronym 'TIL', which stands for 'today I learned'.

    So! The basic premise of this thread is to make a post, preferably once per day, stating that you learnt some new fact or whatnot today.

    I'll start;

    TIL that the currency of Poland is called the Polish złoty.
