Tough Tyrogue

    In G/S/C, a fighting master deep within Mt. Mortar will reward you with a lv. 10 Tyrogue for defeating him in battle. This is the only way to obtain this Pokémon in these games.

    Did you ever get Tyrogue? What did you evolve it into?

    I really loved Hitmontop so I tried to evolve mine to that.. but ending up with attack and defense of equal value was actually a bit of a pain. Took several restarts and vitamin spam. :( But it was worth it in the end as its design is neat and I hardly liked many other fighting types, hah. Ended up keeping it around with me for a while.

    I spent a whole day as a kid going after this guy and his Pokémon. I used it eventually but it didn't remain on my team for too long. :(

    I never got Tyrogue since it was such a hassle to get. It was crazy to do for my tiny little 5 year old self to complete.

    I too never picked up this Tyrogue. The only time I actually ever ran into this guy was when I was using Gameshark to walk through walls for fun, in Crystal, and I accidentally found him and he destroyed me because I wasn't supposed to be able to reach that point in the game yet haha.

    I eventually got the Tyrogue, but more for the adventure you have to take to get there xD I just always like it when you have to do something challenging to get somewhere, even if the prize might not be worth the hassle. I got the Tyrogue, and after an even bigger challenge, evolved it into Hitmontop, because Hitmontop is funny as shit xD

    Usually evolved it into Hitmontop because of how much I already used Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan already.
