    I've been trying to start a new file, and I got to the "name your town" part. (Note that this is ACNL).
    I've been hearing the limit is 8 characters, so I tried to use the name, "MooMoo M", without the quotes.
    M=1
    o=2
    o=3
    M=4
    o=5
    o=6
    =7
    M=8
    However, this name would not work, as the last M can not fit after the space. I've actually tried names such as KayKay K,
    YooYoo Y, and they actually work, even though they are the same amount of characters as MooMoo M. Also, when I replace the last M with a Y, it still works, even if the Y is capital and the M is lowercased.

    Might anyone have an idea on why MooMoo M isn't working? :o
    I could had sworn I used exactly Moomoo M on my first town name and it worked....

    EDIT:Also, when I also type in MooMooM, that's 7 characters, but it won't let me put in anymore after that...

    I think it might be because M is a wide letter, so it only lets you use seven letters. But I'm not too sure on that.

    I agree that M could be taking up the last space, but since you named your last town Moomoo M, it's possible that the game doesn't want your existing file to have the same name as your previous one(s) I've never seen something like this happen, so I don't know for sure.
