I'm trying to get better at making these things, so please leave comments on what I could do to make my images better. Thank you. Hey dude, it's great that you're getting in to making sigs. I've just got a couple of things that might be helpful to keep in mind. First off, I really like the avatar. The only things I'd say about it are keep the aspect ratio of the render the same as the original. It seems slightly stretched outwards. Also, I would personally erase some of the haxagonal effect over the face (using the eraser tool on a soft brush on a fairly low opacity) just to draw attention to it. The userbars look really nice. The only things I'd say are try to put the text in the centre of the bar, maybe that's a personal preference but I think that looks a lot better. And try not to mess with the animation speed, it seems a lot slower and there seems to be some missing frames on the mewtwo bar. On to the signatures. First off blending. Blending is essentially how well the render blends with the background, as well as just feeling like it belongs and wasn't just pasted on. The pieces with the best blending are the second and the last. The kyogre one doesn't really have any effects over it to make it seem like it belongs, and with the suicune one you almost always want to keep the render at full opacity, otherwise it just looks strange. On to Flow. All of the renders you have quite distinct flow lines to them which you should attempt to complement when placing effects. I've tried to show the flow direction for each sig here. This will probably seem like a strange concept, but complementing the render's flow will also make it seem like it's supposed to be there much more, therefore contributing to your Blending. The Lighting seems quite random really, mostly because there aren't distinct light and dark areas or a light source. In the suicune signature that you are currently using it's clear that the light source is above its head and the edges are darker in comparison to the rest of the signature. This helps draw attention to the focal as well as improving the overall aesthetic. I would say the colours are OK, but some of the colour choices seem a bit random, like adding the red bubbles on the suicune one or the purple spots on the kyogre one. If you intend to use a second colour, I would make a greater point of it and encorporate it much more. Coming back to your current signature, It's clear that the two main colours are blue and purple, with any other colour just being a detail. As for your text, it definitely needs some work. I would recommend changing the text style (next to the text size) to either crisp or sharp. That should smooth out the curves and just make the text look a lot nicer (don't do this fo the visitor font that you use for the bars, keep it on normal for that). I think the font choice could be a bit better, some ones that I like are Bebas Neue, Counter strike, Code Bold and just generally quite bold fonts. Other effects you can use are a clipping mask over the text (if you're not sure what this means just ask). If using a gradient you generally want to have the lighter colour at the top since the light source generally is coming from the top and it just looks right that way. I usually don't use a stroke, I normally just darken the area behind the text if I need it to pop out but that's a personal preference and lots of styles of text can work. Just experiment dude. Sometimes no text works better. And lastly the border. Experiment with different borders dude I personally really like the cinematic borders but it doesn't work for everything. Again, no border often looks better. And that's everything I can think of right now. Please don't take this the wrong way, these are looking pretty great there's just a lot of things to keep in mind next time you make a sig. Also try to make them regularly, don't be like me and take a 2 year break and forget everything you knew lol. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.
Thanks for the advice man! Yeah, I'm quite new to this, so my signatures aren't really the greatest. I'll be sure to use your advice as future reference. Definitely some good advice.
