I'm always so hesitant to do traditional art because when I ink the art my lines turn out to be super wobbly. This was confirmed again today when I tried to line my Inktober piece. I just have really shaky hands :(. Any tips from those of you who can get somewhat smooth lines when inking with pen?

I’m probably the worst person to ask, as I too have that problem. Maybe it doesn’t help that I’m a impatient oaf too XD

I guess you just have to role with it. If I can make some decent looking art even with my imtoianece and shakeyness then you can too!

I did a lot better with my second piece today. Guess I just needed a warmup

Good thinking. Usually, the first thing I draw each day looks iffy, especially if I haven't drawn in a while. Warmups are usually the way to go :)

I honestly should’ve done a warmup  I got lucky though since phantumps body is black

Don't worry, I usually don't do warmups, either :P Bad habit, I know. Good to hear the phantump turned out well, though!

I don't really do traditional inking very often, as I only do traditional art for doodling. Though when I did, the lines turned out super wobbly, but I use an erasable pen, so I can always erase them. The downside of this would be making a huge mess when trying to erase them, as those erasers don't go well with pencil marks.

Practice pieces are the key, I think. I always sketch, reline with pencil, and one then ink, so I have done the piece in essence twice before I start to ink the piece
