Trapinch/ Vibrava in Platinum

    Personally, one of my favorite Pokémon is Flygon, and I was really annoyed to discover that neither of his/ her pre-evos were obtainable in Platinum without pal park or trading. Does anyone have any clue on why Gamefreak did this? It doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, you could get a Vibrava pretty easily in D/P, but in Platinum, there isn't even a poke to catch via radar on the route they were in (Sinnoh Route 224, the desert one).

    The only theory I have is that they like to make you go back to the older games, possibly because they make you more excited for the new ones? I don't know... There could have been some other Pokémon that they decided would be a better Pokémon than Trapinch to put on whatever route they were on in Diamond/Pearl.

    My theory is GameFreak needed to change up the Pokémon you could catch in the game to make it different from Diamond and Pearl.
