    Honestly, spooky stuff isn't my thing either. look at mine, it's atrocious. I'm actually going to rewrite it and repost it as a full story at a future date. I know I can do better and I have my reasons.

    Now for Round Boo -- I mean Round Two (I promise that's the worst pun I'll tell all month!), with this round closing after Sunday 21 October!

    Your second prompt: Cinnabar Laboratory and the nearby Mansion have been condemned for years since the nearby volcano was deemed to be too much of an ongoing threat for nearby habitation (or so they say). These buildings - and the rest of the town - were abandoned hastily, frozen in time on the day of their closing. You know it's not safe to wander in unattended buildings in such disrepair and abandonment, but your character has a reason for entering this place where nothing quite seems right.

    I adjusted the prompt somewhat, in case it was too narrow, adding in a "or so they say" to add in a bit more flexibility. Keep in mind that a prompt is merely a starting point, not a color-by-number or a Mad-Libs. Your own creativity is still key!

    Reminder now that Round Two stories should be up by the end of the coming weekend! And so far we have... Zero. Pun intended. Get those pens scribbling!
