Tricks in PokemonAmie

    Not sure if anyone else found these, and honestly these don't have any exponential benefits- at least not that I could see- but here's two things I found in PokemonAmie. Another note: I'm not sure if these are included in X/Y. (I've regrettably lost my copy of the game somewhere in my house. :( )

    1.) Once you've maxed out PokemonAmie with a Pokémon, (by that I mean: have full hearts) you can pet it in battle after it's KO'd a Pokémon. To do this just rub the touch screen during the fainting animation of the opposing Pokémon and that should do it. A white hand will appear and pet your Pokémon's head, then a little heart will pop out of your Pokémon. This applies for after catching a Pokémon too, by the way.

    2.) In PokemonAmie you can high-five certain Pokémon. To do this rub the side of the Pokémon, or near its arms. Don't actually touch the Pokémon though, just rub the empty space next to them. If you do this, then they'll wave their arm twice. If your stylus makes contact with its arm as it's waving it, you'll hear a snapping sound and a music note will come out your Pokémon, indicating some enjoyment. Again, this only works with certain Pokémon. (Not really a huge thing, but goddamn it's adorable.)
    some Pokémon who can do this are:
    -baby starter Pokémon (need confirmation on this)
    -Lucario
    -Eevee line (needs confirmation)
    -Ralts
    -Goomy
    -Vulpix
    -Zorua, Zoroark
    -Togepi
    -Growlithe
    -Hydreigon
    (I'll update this list as I find more, or when you guys add more to the replies)
    These aren't really important, just little things you can do for the hell of it. Feel free to add some more Pokémon who can do the high-fiving trick or just anymore little things you can do with PokemonAmie.

    I know Goomy can high-five you with its head. I've done it before and it's really cute.

    Yeah it is pretty cool, but it doesn't work for all Pokémon. I high-fived a Vaporeon, and it was so frickin adorable!

    Hydreigon can also high-five you if you press your stylus near its head. Well, it doesn't actually high-five you, since it doesn't have hands or paws. But it does this little headbutt instead.

    Even if Hydreigon are said to be ferocious beasts in battle, they're flipping adorable in Pokémon Amie. just. lookit that cute thing they do when they're happy. hhrghsdf

    I can definitely agree that any kind of high five is adorable, even if it's really a headbutt. :3
    I'm pretty sure you can high five the entire Eevee line.((I'll probably edit this later if I double check that.)

    I remember when I was doing Pokémon Amie with Goomy and I was surprised when I saw it 'high five' me with his antennae.
    I think that another helpful tip is when you Pokémon's tummy is full, you should do the face recognition game. It gives you you a big amount of hearts and notes and you don't have to feed your Pokémon or play the minigames

    I didn't even know high-fiving existed...
    Whenever I play through my X Version, I catch a Pokémon and level it up in Amie until it has 5 Hearts so I get all the Amie-hacks, like increased EXP, ability to heal status conditions and invisible Focus Sashes. When I battled Lysandre, my Pyroar survived on 1 HP from 3 attacks in a row because of Pokémon Amie.

    This was a interesting find! I knew that you could hi five Pokémon, but I never expected that you could hi five a goomy. This seems interesting~I'll go give goomy a hi-five sooner or later~

    I have never been able to complete the face recognition game. The 3DS face recognition is kinda spotty.
    I always screw it up when the game asks me to open my eyes wide. I'm Asian so... yeeeaaaah, the most I can do there is raise my eyebrows. It's actually pretty funny.
    But yeah, if you're willing to look like an absolute loon making faces into a 3DS, the face minigame is definitely an option (a hilarious one).

    I love high-fiving my Pokémon in Amie, it's really adorable! Some of the ones that can high-five are really surprising- like Dratini. I wasn't expecting it to be able to, but it kind of bumps your hand with its snout and it's super adorable. You guys should try it out with a Dratini of your own!
