Twitch Plays Pokemon

I only watched the stream 2 or 3 times but I was there when they were battling Lance with only ATV left. It was quite an intense battle and I laughed at the dumb Dragonite. Why did it keep using Barrier while ATV was slowly killing it with PoisonPowder? I guess they were just lucky that Gen I's AI wasn't that good yet.
And if I remember this correctly, it disabled Dragonite's Hyper Beam too. That was awesome.

 

So they started a new journey on Crystal. Nothing's been too screwy yet (they chose Totodile and that's it) I think they've just been training on one of the first routes. One thing I have to mention is that the player name is AJDNNW. XD

 

Oooh, Crystal next eh? I hope there'll be a lot of memes to come out of it. Crystal was so great. <3

 

So they're just continuing the games then? Sounds a lot like they're just milking it.
Speaking of which, I'm interested in how they're going to take down Whitney.

Anyway, I'll go watch it when they reach X&Y

 

I don't think they will physically be able to do X/Y. They won't be able to control the rollerskates since there is no circle pad, so Korrina's gym will not work properly.

 

Yeah, X&Y would be hard to do in that format.

 

Crystal is my go to game in the Pokémon series and I know the most about it. Excited to see where this goes

 

With all of the publcity it will probably be even more of a clusterfuck than last time. There will also be people coming there with the sole purpose of hindering progress. Enjoy your Ice Path, haha.

 

I was very shocked they defeated Red in the time they did. I was really thinking that it would have taken much longer than it did. I saw some of the battles they did and the only important battle I saw, was when they defeated Giovanni. Then the next thing I knew it, they defeated the Elite Four. Which really surprised me. I even chimed in a couple times, trying to shout "democracy" or a direction. Haha.

I haven't been keeping up with the Crystal version. The last time I checked, they JUST made it into Eckruteak city and kept getting lost in the middle of town. I bet the pathway to getting to Morty was fun. Especially since the gym is evil.

 

Twitch Plays Pokémon! Ah, I love it. I actually helped them get through Sabrina's Gym. That was a disaster.

They're going for Crystal now...

 

Okay... I didn't REALLY try getting into this until last night, and I got really caught up in helping to get through Clair's gym. It was a lot of fun actually.

 

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the first gen TPP but I've been following Crystal since day 1. They are currently at the Elite Four, going over and over.

Some fun stuff:
During the first few days, they went to Ecruteak, met Bill, and then went all the way back to Goldenrod just to get an eevee from him.
The daycare was successfully used.
They used Democracy to teach a few HMs, and then immediately went back to anarchy. It's like once democracy's job is done, it's immediately drafted, and I think that's great.
They bought 99 regular pokeballs. 12 Pokémon were caught. At least 25 of them were used in attempts to steal Elite Four Koga's Pokémon.
During Democracy they now tend to send in "Wait4abrightbastart" since you can choose the number of times AJ performs an action, and not doing anything is "wait".

I've been having a lot of fun with it and I'll probably stick around until the end. I really hope they don't start Emerald right after though, the streamer should wait at least a month. Waiting a day between Red and Crystal was a pretty bad choice IMO.

 

It was funny and nerve wracking and sad and funny some Pokémon released which was sad and how the character moved a lot in one direction and the other.
