Two Regions?

that would be cool but if it had a mountain that connects Unova with the new region i say go for it Pokémon CO

 

There should be a Pokémon you can ride on to get to a different region or something.

 

I would love to be able to go to another region! That's one of the reasons I always loved G/S/HG/SS so much - it really added to the game play and i always loved seeing the changes time brought to the region - though we also saw that in Unova with B/W2. But still, I'd love to see them do it again. Wouldn't it be great if they released a game where you could go to ALL the regions?

 

I would really love to see a Pokémon game which you could travel in all regions. I have always dreamed that thet would make one one day.

 

Skyla could come flying into the new region and bring you back/forth. What would be kind of cool or maybe just annoying is if the PCs in the two regions aren't connected, so you have Pokémon in this region but not that one. That'd probably be just annoying

 

I'd think they could pull that different PCs system if they wanted to. It's essentially a new game, since you have to raise new Pokémon all over again, kind of. But it's sort of stupid, so they wouldn't do that.

 

I think it could be done but I sort of doubt it will be. Wouldn't mind seeing it though, even if the second region was considerably smaller and had maybe 4 special gyms for strictly post-game, basically similar in size to the Black/White 2 Unova where there are entire routes inaccessible until you beat the Elite 4.

 

I don't think they'll go for the two regions idea again. In the 5th generation they tried to achieve the same feeling by adding new secret areas. Now they'll try to put a lot of cool 3D features into the game and make the single region as enjoyable as it can be. If, for example, the region is like a mini-Europe (and not just France), we'll have many different kind of places, each with its uniqueness. That would make up for the lack of a second region. Furthermore, they never do everything amazingly great for the first game on a new consolle, they prefer to experiment and then add new things on the later games.

 

Itd be cool, but with how little time they had between the 2 generations, doing that would cause the new reigon to not get the effort and love it needs. Everyone will be going for the old reigon to see whats new, blazing right through the new one instead of taking it in. The creators aswell wont be able to put their full efforts into the new reigon. Its not like in gen 2, this is a completely different graphic system. They would have to start from scratch.

 

I would dig it.
But I don't think they would do that. It'd be too much information or something on a DS cartridge. Although I personally think they could actually do something like that.

 

Two regions would be pretty awesome. I just don't expect it to happen in X and Y.

 

All good thoughts guys, but keep in mind this is gen. 6 we're talking about anything could happen. Hint Hint...

 

Though it probably won't happen, I think it'd be neat if you could go to the Hoenn region as well. It'd satisfy all the people excited for X & Y, and all the people who have been bitching for a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald remake

 

This. Hoenn needs to make a return this generation somehow, an official remix of the Ever Grande City theme would be awesome.

 

Highly doubt it, since the fact that it's gonna take a whole lotta data... Either that, or maybe it's possible as a parallel to Gold and Silver, since Unova tried to copy Kanto's style.

 

I imagine data limits will not be a factor in the 2nd region idea. We don't live in the dark ages any more Though I do miss the little easter eggs some people left in their super old games about data limits
