http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp. Go to this link and gave the test then answer the questions.

What did you get? Do you agree with it? Did you want a different result? What do you think of these tests? And did you answer honestly?

I don't do personality test. I've heard somewhere, but maybe I'm false, that personality tests aren't a good thing.

I don't see how they would be a bad thing. Whether they're accurate or not (I don't think they are), is a different debate, but they can be a fun little thing to do.

Dude, I was literally looking this stuff up a few days ago after trying the Tomodachi Life demo and remembering it from Psychology class, though my recent search told me it was more commonly identified as Myers-Briggs, not Jung.

According to this test I'm INTJ [Introvert(84%) iNtuitive(44%) Thinking(22%) Judging(3%)] and that looks about right to me. I am totally introvert, I think I should have had a higher Sensing for the N, am fairly think-over-feel, and I use perceptions to judge, so it's reasonable that that one is nearly balanced.

According to the previous test I used (after the Tomodachi demo, which astounded me with its complex guesses of personality from simple answers), I'm in the group described as Archtect: "People with the INTJ personality type are imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet private, amazingly curious, but they do not squander their energy."

However, adapting to my earlier amendment to my results, I think I should be ISTJ, which that same site describes as Logistician: "People with the ISTJ personality type enjoy taking responsibility for their actions, and take pride in the work they do — when working towards a goal, ISTJs hold back none of their time and energy completing each relevant task with accuracy and patience." Sounds good.

My self-chosen results to the test: Introversion 80%, Sensing 50%. Thinking 40%, Judging 20%. ISTJ. (Oh, and I always answer surveys honestly. It's just a thing I do.)

If you believe almost everything you hear, then that's probably just as bad as believing in an online personality test. :P
Taking them and believing in them are two different things though. I personally don't believe in them, but the previous results I've gotten have proven to be fairly accurate about me.

I'm waiting a little bit to fall back asleep, so I took the test to pass some time.
    Here's what I got:

I'm a honest person who wears her heart up her sleeve, yet I tend to lie quite a bit. Nevertheless, I've answered these questions as honestly as I could.
Honestly, I'm quite controversial, so I'm curious to see what the outcome is...

    Your Type

    INFJ
    Introvert(3%) iNtuitive(22%) Feeling(6%) Judging(6%)
    • You have marginal or no preference of Introversion over Extraversion (3%)
    • You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (22%)
    • You have slight preference of Feeling over Thinking (6%)
    • You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (6%)

..see? I'm really controversial, just like I already knew XD

So I decided to take the personality test, and I ended up getting INFJ (no screenshot because this computer is really slow, sorry!), and I don't really get it.

Not this again. I have this odd feeling that this very topic has come up on this forum before. Let me see...
Ah, yes, it has: three times, in fact. Bizarrely, I have posted in none of them though I remember posting in one of them, but perhaps I did not, due to the reasons I'm shortly about to explain.

I myself have essentially disavowed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), because of how thoroughly unhelpful it is. (I would probably disavow all such tests if I had more exposure to them, but so far this has been the only one.)
First of all, it is falsely branded as a personality test. This is incorrect; the MBTI is not a personality test, and it shouldn't be used as such - much less used to pigeon-hole people into prescribed categories. The actual goal of the MBTI is to show preferred thought patterns or inclinations for a person's behaviours - that is, to note a way that a person is most likely to act.
Second, exactly why is telling you your preferred thought inclinations useful? More often than not you yourself are aware of how you think and act, so at worst it's telling you what you already know, and at best it tells you why you're so insert-adjective-here, something you might be able to learn anyway by asking for feedback from your friends.
Third, preferences are not static whatsoever; they change based on circumstances, encounters, and even new information. What is now a true result for someone may be rendered meaningless in a short time, and thus, knowing current preferences only has short-term applications, not meaningful long-term ones.

A potential counterargument to this viewpoint would be "just because it's useless to you doesn't mean it's useless to other people". That much should be obvious; I am not 'other people', and I don't know with what motivations or goals people approach the MBTI with. I have known people who would treat people differently based on MBTI results, a truly reprehensible act. Simply put, the feedback the MBTI provides is not useful or helpful to me, because preferred mental inclinations are not the metric I use to evaluate people. Preferences aren't set in stone; they can be changed (either gradually or drastically) or just outright denied for the sake of something else more important.

I could not say for sure that it would be better were this test to never exist, because more likely than not, another 'personality metric' would take its place. Categories to judge and evaluate people are used only by those who want to control or manipulate - be it themselves or others; to establish mental hierarchies as to who is 'better', 'worse', 'similar', or 'different'; or to generate stereotypes that are damaging to both individuals and groups, while utilising the mechanic in a way it was never meant to be used. For anyone who tries to use the MBTI to preemptively evaluate or judge people in this way...you're dead wrong.

    What's your Myers-Briggs personality type? There's 16 in total.

That's pretty neat, I'm INFP-A too. INFP-A, or mediator. Makes a lot of sense, because that's exactly what I am, somebody who likes to understand two sides of an argument while stopping an argument.

Apparently I'm INFP-T, or "The Meditator". My role is "Diplomat" and my strategy is "Constant Improvement".
...this is the only other personality test I've taken to which I agree with the results.

    INTP-A here
However, if I change few answers where I was having hard time choosing, I got INFP-A

When looking at the strengths and weaknesses of both personality types, It's quite clear that I'm a mix of both.

The test says I'm an INFJ, and while that's partially accurate to me, I'd like to point out that these personality tests are really flawed. They outline a behavior pattern rather than any actual sort of definitive personality type. The questions themselves are flawed in that they don't ask why a behavior is performed, which is the basis for personality.

Think about the question "Do you usually arrive on time for your appointments?" which is a question commonly found in these personality tests. If you said yes, there are two obvious but opposite reasons as to why. You could be usually on time be because you take pride in being timely prompt. You may also be usually on time because you fear the social repercussions of failing to be on time. While both have the same result, they are done for entirely different reasons that reflect different personalities, and you can't explain that to a simple test.

Gonna reply to this because I didn't reply to previous, but yeah there was another thread like this before. I got ISFP and the things you need to about that are "People with the ISFP personality type are relaxed and warm, and their "live and let live" attitude naturally makes them likable and popular." "ISFPs also enjoy connecting with others, and have a certain irresistible charm." "ISFPs are quite mysterious and difficult to get to know." "Few personality types are as colorful and charming as ISFPs."
In other words, I'm not only very attractive and chill but also mysterious. Ladies >w>
(tbh wasn't entirely accurate, though some things were on point)

I have taken several personality tests, and it seems that most of them that I tried always gives me the result of INFP, which fits my personality a whole lot, as some sites may describe below.
