In fifth generation, it was revealed that Technical Machines received one of the biggest overhauls in the Pokémon franchise. TMs became able to be used multiple times. This change was later brought over to future generations.

What's your opinion at unlimited use of TMs, and do you enjoy it? Do you think it makes the games less challenging to have the use of unlimited TMs?

The unlimited use of TMs really changed a lot for me, especially with moves like Rock Tomb and Earthquake which my whole team can pretty much learn, but I could only teach one to them. Part of the reason why I love Generation 5 and 6 so much is because of this new feature.

I was really annoyed by this at first, because TMs are only supposed to have one use and then break and this would make the HMs even worse now! Of course it did make the HMs worse, but I definitely ended up liking to be able to swap moves out depending on the area (like Dig, Flash, etc.) and relearn their original moves, haha. Now I love TMs this way. XD

TM are cool, a Pokémon team gets better now that they can learn without losing the TM.
So its a great feature :D!

It really was a nice change. I can maybe get being able to use it only once for.. Say, a story team. But after that? Shoot, I'm gonna have lots of Pokéman's who need to learn lots of attacks

I was so happy xD I was always scared that to teach my Pokémon a TM, because that basically meant that you couldn't give them another move, since you would've wasted your TM. You can say that it made the games easier, but I don't see it as a problem.

This relieved me so much. I used to be that dumb person that would teach a TM to a Pokémon that learned the move naturally, but with unlimited TMs this was no longer a problem.

This will forever be my favorite change to Pokémon.

You've no idea how much of a pain it was to have to spend ages getting a TM all over again if you wanted to teach it to more than one Pokémon.. was even worse for TMs that were only obtainable once per game. I really loathed the past system and ended up cheating to get 99 of each TM during the D/P days so it felt amazing that they were no longer used up come B/W. Wheww.

This development was great for both the player and the company, in my opinion. We don't have the pain of going around and collecting TMs like no tomorrow, and they don't have to deal with nearly as many hacked Pokémon online or in official competitions. Seriously I love this development, and the trade off for us is usually harder to find locations of TMs, which isn't nearly as bad.

Undoubtable one of the best changes to recent Pokémon gaming, if not the best. This made things way easier, but also so much more convenient for players. Encourages you to actually go out there and teach your Pokémon new moves and experiment, rather than keeping to the same old strategies.

It may make the game less challenging, but I thought it was brilliant of them to overhaul it. Made the metagame that much easier for us all.

It made the whole game so much easier, especially since you can give any amount any move you like now and you're not limited to one per pokmon per game.
