We all get in those moods where we need something to pick us up, and when we're not listening to sad playlists and making it worse, we're usually listening to songs that brighten our mood.

    What's your song of choice?

    Mine are:

    [spotifyweb]7zcplmMY6zcKhYLXXyi86r[/spotifyweb]

    and

    [spotifyweb]7oeQvorSjIN3Ly9vfqrsKV[/spotifyweb]

Even if the lyrics aren't super happy, the beat always cheers me up.

Well, one song that both uplifts and empowers me is "Uprising" by Muse. Love the band, love the song. They're very influential once you begin to understand what a majority of their songs are really about. Seriously, if anyone ever feels like they're in a defeated state, give one of Muse's songs a listen, e.g. Uprising:

Whenever I'm feeling down, I go sit in the car with my awesome subwoofers, crank the bass level up, and play Mombasa by Hans Zimmer. Every beat on the drums feels invigorating, and I leave about three minutes later feeling like I'm ready to tackle any challenge in my way.

Technically, this isn't a "song" per se, but it is a piece of music that is just so uplifting

This song is one of the most motivating that I listen to. Listening to any music helps me calm down and relax.

Usually, listening to music tracks I've had before that I particularly enjoy (i.e. those typically very high on my favorites list) will help to boost my mood when necessary. I do this because usually a negative mood is caused by pent-up frustration, and listening to a song helps me vent it by 'rocking out'.

I don't really have a list as my personal playlist is almost at 400 tracks, but of those, on average about 10% (so, 40) have the potential to dispel a rotten disposition, and half of those are near certain to do so.

Another Hans Zimmer song incoming lol. This one from the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Anyone else a fan? Anyway, this song always gets me pumped up. (listen all the way through!)

@[member="DracoFeathers"] i love that movie omggggggg

Though the lyrics aren't exactly uplifting, one of the songs I listen to to cheer myself up is Riptide by Vance Joy.

I also listen to Sail by AWOLNATION.

My favorite inspirational song is Backbone by Gojira. The lyrics motivate me to get back up and do what I'm doing because I will overcome this obstacle.

"Inexhaustible: the strength of fire is swirling through me!
Spine like a beam of light, what mortal could ever break this force?
Unconstrained, I see, at last, my backbone straighten.
Thy serpent made of bones finally arising from the ground awakened!
Put both feet on the ground now, go!"

Whenever I go running, I re-start my playlist on this song when I get back after my first breather.
