Textures can really make a piece of art pop, making materials easier to identify or used in an abstract way to make things more interesting. Textures can be added using a brush or by using an image, created by yourself or taken from online.
Do you use textures or not? If so, do you create them yourself? How often do you use them, and how do you usually apply them?
Are textures something you like to see used in art, or do you prefer art that doesn't use them?

I'm not particularly good, nor am I a big fan of looking at art. However, using textures can make things much more life like, so i usually think that it is an improvement.

Personally, I tend not to use textures, just because it looks weird in my art. I think depending on your art style decides whether or not you should use them. Namely because if your art style leans to be more realistic than not, textures breathe more life into your art, and become more of a necessity. For art styles like mine, it may be best to stray away from specific textures, thougn don't be afraid to experiment!

I'm still trying to create textures while practising, but my favourite texture to replicate is hair! It's probably because when drawing manga, the hair (mostly) looks so shiny and makes the hair seem wavy and realistic.

    i love textures!

I use them a lot, sometimes i use other stuff like stock but mostly textures

Its all about being creative with blending modes and how you blend them
