So it's almost been about two months since Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have been announced as the next Pokémon games. The two had their own announcement trailer on June 6th, 2017 during the most recent Pokémon Direct, and there has not been any other information announced for the games. I thought about this earlier when in some of the other threads, and it made me wonder why this is the case. If you guys would like to voice your opinions, do so!
I think it's very weird that we've had absolutely no news regarding these games despite it being so long, barring the tiny news announcements of the "I Choose You" Ash-Hat Pikachu and the special pre-order stuff. It's possible that we're getting no news for these games, and everything will be a surprise, which I only mind because there's been no indication that this is the case. I just want... SOMETHING!
I would almost rather there be no news since I don't plan on seeing anything about these games until I get my hands on them. Although you're right, it's strange that hardly any details have been put out
Yeah, I noticed that news has been sparse as well. But that could be a good thing! It's best not to overhype something (I know this all too well from the unfortunate things that have happened in Destiny.) For now, we wait patiently. Also, it's coming out on my birthday eeeeeeeee
I am suprised how sparse the news is since you would think they would want hype, maybe they dont wanna spoil it like last time
Technically USM isn't like Platinum, since the Direct stated that USM would take place in a different universe from SM. It seems like there would be major differences in the games, but so far... no news about it. QWQ.
I was just saying how USM could have big differences between that and SM, while Platinum seems to have minor differences compared to DP.
They probably realized that revealing everything about the games like they have done the past few times was a really bad idea so now they're keeping a lid on all the new stuff instead, Nintendo took quite a bit of heat from fans for revealing everything, it just sucks half the fun out of a game.
Yeah, but having nothing is also a bit uncomfortable as I do not know what to expect. Like a new trailer would be great, even if it is a short one.
Agree, a little something would be nice, they just need to balance out how much they reveal. A trailer with a few more details, previews of what new mons may appear or say that new Alolan forms are coming and such would be nice.
I feel that they could have at least-at the VERY LEAST-given us a few more peeks at the weird Necrozma/Solgaleo/Lunala things, maybe in the borders of their website or just a mention at a video. It really seems like they just want us to speculate. I think that's okay for a little bit, but not for too long, or else I kind of get bored. I want hype! Give me hype! #MissingNo
I personally like the lack of news. If Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon really are a drastic difference from Sun and Moon (which I'm pretty sure will, since the whole "slightly different third game" schtick has stopped after Gen 5) then I'd like to enter the game blind without knowing anything at all. I've committed to avoiding game trailers for the sake of this "blind unknowing", and the fact that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are hiding news is sorta helping on that commitment of mine.
Currently the only news from CoroCoro is a very vague picture of what could be maybe a third Lycanroc form. But that is it.
Lycanroc was/is one of the Pokémon that made us talk a lot about it for a long time, before, during and even after its release. I hope they bring a third form since its a decent Pokémon and in some way it revived the Rock type that has been a little forgotten.
As if it was a coincidence, there's going to be news for USM soon! In about an hour we will have more news to talk about!
