When it comes to every single video game, there is always a difficulty that comes with the game. Wether it be a difficulty setting you can actually change or modify, or a difficulty setting already placed that you have no control over. Difficulties in games can either turn a player to challenge, or a turn a player off, making them want to just throw their controller to the wall (Please don't play anymore games if you throw your controller, please xD). Sometimes some games don't even have an easy difficulty, and instead just have a normal and hard mode. What's the point of calling the mode normal if easy is not an option. That now brings up the question, do normal and easy mean almost the exact same thing in video games? If so do you think Easy should not even be a difficulty anymore in games? Overall Difficulty is always a key component when it comes to designing a game.

How difficult do you like your games to be? Do you like to be able to adjust your difficulty in games, or rather have the game have a set difficulty from the start(Dark Souls anyone)? Do you tend to start your game off easy, normal, or hard?

As a general rule, I always play "Normal" first in a video game, or "Hard" if Normal is considered to be the easy. After playing through the game on Normal, and I found it to be easy, I'll likely play through it on Hard, Very Hard, Intense etc. difficulty. I like my games to be challenging, yet rewarding and satisfying at the same time. The SNES and N64 eras did the best job at this imo.

I think the purpose of having an easy difficulty in any games is that it acts as a tutorial part. I always play easy then normal and then hard in every game just to gauge my ability to grasp any stages~!

I def like to have easy games, but I want to have all 3 game modes available if I'm good at a particular game. I tend to pick Easy mode a lot, but nowadays I am starting to pick the other game modes as well and I think that we should just keep things how they are.

To answer the title question in a simple way? Yes, for people like me XD
I usually need to start off easy and then I get to increase the difficulty level ~ I don't think 'Easy' mode should be deleted at all.

Pretty much this. I always play on easy. I usually play games (especially RPGs) for the experience/story/characters, not the plot. I also get a challenge playing on easy for some reason. In Persona 4, the battles are actually harder than normal, but normal has more grinding areas, which I detest. So yeah, easy is for me.

For first time i play it through with easy, since i get into the game better and faster and it is way easier to get better in the game once you finish it with easy! (at least for me)

Not many people use it anymore, but it's still nice to use that option, in case anyone needs it.
