What do you fear? Irrational or not, what caused or causes you to have that fear(s)?

Do you have an hour? XD

Let's see: - Spiders, because who isn't afraid of those xD
    - Dogs, because I got attacked by one when I was two.
    - Thunder, I don't know why, probably because it's dangerous.
    - Bees, because I'm afraid to get stung.
    - Public Speaking, because I'm awkward xD

... I'm just gonna stop now.

I'll go with a few of my top ones.
    • Spiders - I am extremely, extremely arachnophobic. Even a tiny spider terrifies me.
    • Being alone - To me, those you love (romantically or not) can't be replaced. They take a part of you. Every person I feel close to takes a part of me, and when they're gone, so is that piece of myself. I've lost a lot of people, and when I'm alone, usually late at night after all my friends have gone to sleep, I really start to feel it.
    • Making mistakes - I've had many experiences with disappointing people, and most of them were with a parent who would respond with anger and yelling. I have a lot of trouble doing basic tasks due to a fear that I'm going to mess up and disappoint someone.
    • Loud noises - Yelling/slamming/banging things. Any of these make me flinch and freeze up. It's something I'm still trying to work through.

    I have many fears;

    - heights - it comes and goes but now it is currently a very strong fear

    - ants; I had a traumatic experience when I was still a very young child; it involved big red ants in my hair. *shudders*

    - anger directed at me - I fear rejection as well.

    - pictures of sharks - Irrational is what this fear is all about. I've managed to get two - TWO! - sharks to swim to me as a young child with an elevated heartbeat which scared the literal tears out of me and it's their pictures that freak me out.

    - death.

    - ghosts.

    - dogs - I don't want this fear because I love the idea of dogs but because of my upbringing and religion I have not had the opportunity to spend time with dogs much so I've become scared of them which sucks.

    - cockroaches. Done. They fly and it's every man and woman for themselves.

    - elevators. The idea that they could fall.. No, no thank you.

I like most insects, spiders included (no, I am not mad) however...
    • I have an irrational fear of flying insects. Just so long as I'm not next to them, I'm fine
    • I don't have a fear of heights... it's a fear of falling off those heights I have.
    • Deep water, because I'm not the best swimmer.
And, that's it really. I don't really fear much else.

The only thing that I can say I'm afraid of are people. I don't think I really need to explain why, we all know how dangerous people can be. A spider won't kill me (at least not in the area I live), but people certainly can. They can betray you at any given moment, you usually don't see it coming, and it can have drastic results on your life. Yes, I can safely say that people scare me a lot.

Spiders - Usually big ones. Also, bugs in general. Mainly spiders, though.

Large celestial bodies being near Earth - look up "What if Jupiter was as close to the Moon?"...on second thought, don't.

Darkness - Probably my biggest fear. I can't go to the kitchen without turning on all the lights on my way. Hallway, bathroom and everything else. I can't stand the dark. Too scary. You don't know what lurks in there...

    • Heights. I can go on rollercoasters and stuff, and I've been ziplining, but I cannot handle the walkways that have glass sides/floors or aren't even solid but just bars. If I can see how high I am without being strapped into something to keep from falling, I am very frightened.
    • People approaching me from behind, or waving at me from the perspective where I can kinda see their hand out of the corner of my eye but I also kinda can't. It's weird, but it freaks me out and I just really don't like it when people come up behind me. s: I don't know who they are until last minute, and even if it's just at school who knows what they could do.
    • MIRRORS. Mirror lore is creepy man, and at my mom's house I have to sleep facing a mirror. My eyesight is hella awful without glasses too, so it scares me my reflection could be doing something I'm not and I wouldn't even see it. I usually sleep fully covered by my blankets because it helps me feel safer.
Those are my bigger ones that have stuck with me for as long as I can remember. x:

Nothing really makes me scream for my life, but I DO really dislike centipedes or anything with a ton of creepy, crawly legs. I find it disturbing.

I have a very extreme case of Acrophobia (Irrational fear of heights). It's so bad, I can't even walk up a flight of stairs without freaking out. This all stemmed from a really bad accident some years ago.

Heights- I'm really acrophobic, I'm afraid I'll somehow fall to my death. I'm like @[member="Pariah"] on this one. I've been ziplining and stuff, but if I can see how high up I'm walking, THEN I start freaking out. I think I'm just afraid I'll fall.

Spiders- Oh my god I hate spiders! They freakin terrify me! Even if I see one on TV, I start to panic and I have to go in another room. They terrify me!

Old toys- Oh my god I wouldn't touch one with a 100 foot cattle prod! Especially those jack-in-the-boxes and.....dolls. Especially those raggedy Anne or those Annabelle-style dolls creep the hell out of me.

Tight spaces- don't even get me started. Unlike most people, I don't feel like the walls close in around me. I'm afraid I'll somehow get stuck and something will attack me.

People behind me- Oh, I don't even know why this freaks me out, but it does. People behind me terrify the living hell out of me! If someone comes up behind me and wraps their arm around me of something like that, I freeze up and start freaking out because I don't know what they'll do and all that. If someone just walks up behind me and I know they're there but I can't see them I just freeze and start to panic. If they actually touch me, like put their hand on my shoulder or wrap their arm around me, then I really start freaking out because I can't see them and I don't know what they're trying to do to me.

Crowds- Something I always run into at school. This runs into my claustrophobia, but like most of my fears, I don't know exactly how I got it. If someone is too close to me and can almost touch me, then I begin to freak out. If I back into a wall, then I REALLY freak out because I feel cornered.

Ouija boards- Hell no! If one is in the same room as me, I'm leaving. They freakin terrify me. I will never use one. Ever. You can't give me all the kittens in the world, I still ain't touching one!

I have a rather irrational fear of heights. Like I'm fine on rollercoasters except the Top Thrill Dragster fuck that shit or on the edge of a chasm, but I'll get really really freaked out standing next to a second-floor balconey. Like I've been paralyzed with fear by a hotel balcony, but stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon just fine.

I also have a fear of being left alone, since it's well documented that most people who were close to me become distant, usually by distance. Yet at the same time I have a fear of someone getting too close to me. It's really weird.

I'm weird because things that tend to be other people's fears are usually my favourite things that I think are cool. It's not that I like scaring people or anything, it's just how I deal with scary things I guess.
And since I'm not afraid of the usual things like the dark, creepy crawlies, and heights, I have pretty unique fears.
    • Being cold (usually when there's also the possibility of getting wet. You have to drag me to get me in a pool because I hate it when I get out all wet and freezing)
    • The thought of driving in real life (I'm bad enough at driving in games, it terrifies me that I might crash and hurt myself, someone else or damage someone's property. I can't handle the responsibility!)
    • Owing people things (I sometimes go into hiding when I see someone who I owe. Stupid procrastination!)

Don't come to Texas, either, then xD We have all those things, too

But for me, I guess it'd have to be feeling like I owe people something. It's weird, if I feel I owe you something, I do my best to make it up, even if it's something stupid like you giving me the answer to a homework question.

My only real two fears are
    1- Adults/ Parents (It's complicated)
2- any situation that i'm left with small rodents is really undesirable because i do not like them. at all. they are small and furry and i woke up with one on my face once, so there

I'm afraid of heights. Going up is no problem and I love doing rock-walls. It's when I'm up there that I panic , not that coming down is much better.
I also don't like cockroaches *shudders* nope, nope, nope.
I'm also afraid of a painful death (not death, just the pain), being separated from those I love, my friends turning their backs on me and being forgotten.

Black holes... a bit of an irrational one, but I became paranoid ever since reading about spaghettification long ago in elementary school. I find the idea of there being a place where nothing, not even light, can escape from really unsettling - not helped any by the theoretical descriptions of what would happen to someone if they were captured by one. ;; In spite of this, I still like Super Mario Galaxy.

Drowning, insects (especially flying insects)/arachnids, and being alone in wide open spaces are other ones.
