    They will be legit, as I just send event Pokémon to people. They are made by Gamefreak after all.

    They wont really be 100% legit if you just use Pokegen imo, since its not the actual event. Even if its exactly like the event Pokémon, its still not really legit if its made by a program like Pokegen.
