Dunno if this was covered before... I'm curious as to what the weirdest quotes are from the Pokémon game franchise. Now, I'm not talking about the "I like shorts!" or "My Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata" memes - I mean genuinely weird, nearly creepy quotes. The first one that comes to my mind is GSC's 'Juggler Irwin'. He says "Check out my BALL dexterity!" Now, once his portrait flashes on screen you realize that he's a Juggler, so he needs to be quite dexterous, but even then you think he'd talk about his 'manual dexterity' as that's what is actually required instead of the PokeBalls he's juggling. :\
One weird quote that stuck to me was one in Red/Blue/Yellow version. It concerns the guards in Saffron City. "I'm on guard duty. Gee, I'm thirsty though. Oh, wait there. The road's closed." Seems pretty normal at first, right? Guy's probably been sitting there, with no break, probably forgot to bring a drink. But as soon as you do bring him a drink (Depending on the version, it's either Fresh Water or some tea from an old lady), this happens. "Whoa, boy! I'm parched! ... Huh? I can have this drink? Gee, thanks!" He drinks it. "Gulp... If you want to go to Saffron City... You can go on through. I'll share this with the other guards!" ...What? What do you mean you'll share this with the other guards? You're still at your post! And why are you letting me in over a drink? Isn't keeping people out your job because the road is closed or something? I dunno, this quote always came off as weird to me because of how illogical it sounded at the time. :/
@SnowboundBecca I always thought that the guards were purposely keeping people from passing for no reason so you were actually bribing your way through. That made me hate the guards, because they were abusing their authority from my perspective. :/ "I drew you!" While this isn't weird to us, knowing its a game..but if some guy you walked by said,'Hey, I drew you and your family and everyone around us!' ..yeah that would weird me out.. "Hera, hera, HERACROSS! Big and shiny, it's the bug boss! Love it, need it, HERACROSS!" "Eeeeek! That's a HERACROSS! Please, please, may I measure how big it is?" "Eeeek, it's 61.6 inches! I've never seen anything like this! You deserve a reward!" "I want to see a much, much bigger HERACROSS than that one. Oh, how I adore them, big HERACROSS!"
If you go into one of those huge markets that I can't remember the name of, this girl says "My Drifloon is so strong that I can just drift along without every having to worry!" Uh, lady... the Pokédex says that Drifloon grabs the hands of small children and carries them away into the afterlife, not to mention that it dislikes heavy children. Where is it taking you...?
I recently restarted On Pokémon diamond i went to the lost tower to get the HM05 (think thats the correct number) Strength and on the way up i battled a Pokefan (i forgot his name) and says ( if u can't see the text on the pic) "Whaaat! What was i doing?" At the end of the battle! I noticed the sprite before the battle and i was like... This is a game for all ages! My Budew (now Roseade) is probably scared for life! Edit : pic won't work i will try and find one that works Basically a little girl dressed like pikachu was on this guy behind him (no question being asked)
Imagine, you are alone in your house. The doorbell rings. You go to the door and open it a little. You see a little girl, probably 5-6 years old. You smile and ask "Yes dear? What is it?" She replies, "Is this your house?" You say, "yeah. It is mine. Why?" Girl replies, "Okay. So where is the house beside your house?" You get irritated. "Ofcourse it is beside my house, silly!" Girl says, "Ok. Bye." * So, what do you say? It will be weird if something like this happens with you, right?
