Hey guys, [member='Aura'] here with your regular fix of Sun and Moon news! The trailer started off in an amazing way, finally revealing the evolved forms of the starter Pokémon! First up is Dartrix, the evolved form of Rowlet, and a Grass/Flying type. Second, we have Torracat, the evolved form of Litten, and a Fire type. Finally, we have Brionne, the evolved form of Popplio, and a Water type. These starters look quite good, much different than any fan concept I've seen, and I'm quite excited to see how far they go! Next, we were introduced to Festival Plaza. Festival Plaza seems to be a place much like Join Avenure from Pokémon Black and White 2, where the player can meet other players via StreetPass, SpotPass or just having connected with them recently, and do various things such as opening shops and purchasing rare items. The currency used in Festival Plaza is FC, or Festival Coins, and we've seen this currency before in the previous trailer, regarding trainer customisation. This trailer also showed that one item of clothing can have it's colour changed to many different choices. After that we got a look at Poke Pelago, a "paradise for your boxed Pokémon". We can see that there are many different minigames here, including a bean-collecting minigame, a mining minigame, and a minigame that trains your Pokémon. You can also attract other Pokémon or collect rare items using this function. Both Poke Pelago and Festival Plaza can be accessed from the game's START menu. Next, a quick segment confirming Mega Evolution in Sun and Moon was shown. The player was seen discussing how the Z-Ring helps a Pokémon use it's Z-Power, and that doing Mega Evolution is possible using the same ring. There weren't any new Megas shown, and it doesn't seem like there'll be any, however it is quite pleasing to hear that Megas aren't leaving the table anytime soon! Finally, a special Demo version of Pokémon Sun and Moon was officially announced. The demo will be released on October 18th, or two weeks from now, and players will be able to battle with a special Greninja that has a new ability "Battle Bond". Although it's not very clear what this means, Greninja is seen defeating a Pikipek in battle before the ability activates, so it might activate when a Pokémon has fainted, similarly to abilities like Moxie. Moving on, Battle Bond allows Greninja to transform into the more-powerful Ash-Greninja, and this special Greninja can be transferred to your full copy of Pokémon Sun and Moon, much like the Glalie with it's Mega Stone from the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo. Well, that's all for this news feed! As for the next news drop, it has been scheduled for October 14th at 10 PM JST. What do you think about what was released this time around? Feel free to discuss your thoughts and opinions below! As always, this is [member='Aura'], signing out until next time!
Cool to see the next stage for the starters. No unpredictable turns but they are well enough designed. I think Brionne looks just as dumb as its former form and part of me really hopes that its final stage takes a left turn and looks totally badass, and is never revealed in one of these media releases before the game comes out, just to swerve everyone (like myself) who wouldn't pick it. I dunno, that would be funny to me. Not surprised Megas are back, it would be be nonsensical if they were not. It's like how do you get the toothpaste back into the tube? Megas are a thing now and can't (well, shouldn't) be taken back or ignored. I just hope we get a few new ones, some gen 5 and 6 megas would be nice since there are so few.. Holding out hope that the Alolan form concept isn't going to totally take the place of new Megas.
The second stage evos aren't my favorite, but they're not bad. Dartrix looks like it took a fancy turn, and I'm so glad it's keeping the bowtie (because bow ties are cool). Torracat is pretty cool looking, and it's either going to be a fire/fighting type, or GameFreak is purposely trolling players. I don't really like Brionne, but hey, whatever. (Pop Star Pokémon..?) I don't have a big opnion on either Festival Plaza or Poké Pelgo yet, but I doubt I'll use Festival Plaza for much else than dying clothes. Yay, Megas! I just don't like the fact that it seems like you have to/can buy most Mega Stones with BPs. I don't do that much, but whatever. Anyway, the hype is still real and going strong!
I think everything revealed in this trailer was awesome except Ash-Greninja. Poke Pelago looks fun especially, and the only reason I'm not as excited relatively for Festival Plaza is that it frequently occurs to me that that's a multiplayer feature, and I'll probably not have as much fun with it for that reason alone.
I so gonna play the demo Getting satoshigekkouga. Its sucj a amazingg form And still not decided which starter to use. I actually did like the owl concept. Got lately more fond of grass types even though I still love fire types And the updates are gr8. I so gonna buy it when its out. Would want a mega typloshon though
It feels like Join Avenue is returning, which is great because I spent so much time in there during my pkaythrough of W2... I like the first-stage evolutions a lot! Dartrix looks like meme fuel, and I've seen quite a few good ones already. Yup, I certainly love the stuff released in the new leaks! Yes, even the Mega Evolutions returning
