It's always interesting to see what types of computers people use for both playing games and day-to-day activities. What are the specs of your computer/s and what can they run? Or are you looking to buy a new one in the future? Let us know in the comments below.

Currently, I'm using a really crappy, ancient Intel P4 that I bought for a few bucks off a friend to use for internet surfing. It can't play most games, it has a very low hard-drive capacity (something like 35 Gigs) and encounters problems occasionally. I'm looking to buy a new computer (hopefully) in the future and have that connected to my TV.

I don't really care for specs, as I don't play heavy games or anything. I don't even save a lot of music or movies, just pictures; so it doesn't even matter if I have a lot of space. I do run things like Photoshop, watch Netflix/Youtube, and surf the internet a LOT.

I'm using a mac, so I doubt anyone will be impressed. But I love my macbook okay >o<

Umm, it has... *opens About this Mac*

2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor
Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB
    500 GB of storage
    4GB of memory

I don't even know what most of this stuff means. xD

I love my mac :) I use a Macbook Pro (bought in '08) It's old but it's lasted much longer than any other computer I've had. I used to play games on it but not anymore. Mostly just used for photoshop/web stuff now. Like Joy, I don't care much for the specs. I'm not doing any heavy gaming or anything so as long as it's fast and no lag, I'm good :)

I love my Macbook Pro! It's about...3 years old now. Since I am on a different laptop, I'll have to update the specs later. But it's the fastest laptop I've ever owned and it's my baby <3 i do all of my artwork on it because the screen coloring is a million times better than the laptop i am using currently. I usually don't care for specs for Macs, as long as my art doesn't fill it up within two files or something.

The one I am currently using is a

    HP G62 Notebook PC
    Dual-Core Processor 2.2GHz
    3072 MB Ram

It's about 4 years old now but I play random PC games on it. Mom and dad got it for me to reduce the amount of play-time on my Mac. It's got decent graphic standards. I don't really care about graphics on a computer game as long as I can play it. However, getting this computer, the decision was made due to my old Mac (not listed) looking like it's been through a terrible war and is literally in dire need to be retired forever. But since it works, it's my backup computer in case my newer mac needs any repairs. which since they seem to have gotten it from best buy, seems to be having more issues than my old mac ever had. And that thing is 6 years old. This is part of the reason, why I don't like best buy stores.

    My Mac is :

Processor: 2 GHz Intel Core 17
    Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

My computer is pretty fast, but it's dying. The computer display will randomly flash colors and stuff upon start up. It's lame but at least the computer is usable and that flashing stuff doesn't happen all the time either. It's a really good computer when it doesn't have issues like these. I've been using it for a year but it was my brothers before that, so it's about 2 years old.

My computer is highly capable with video editing software, photoshop, Skype and a bunch of other programs. I make sure I don't have too many programs/files on my computer to take up space I need.

i love my computer! my bf and his brother built it for me for my bday so its kind of a mutt haha but lemme copy the specs.[IMG]
it's got a 1tb hard drive in it and another 1tb external (which has a lot of stuff from older laptops.) its my first desktop that isn't a shared computer and it is a BEAST. its also running windows 7 ultimate, which is nice, and i use a dual monitor display. i don't really game or anything, but i do watch movies and draw in photoshop at the same time so the power doesn't go to waste!

That does look like a really powerful computer. All that RAM. It's a pity you don't game, because it's got a lot of capacity and it is very capable of playing the newest games on the high settings too. Windows 7 Ultimate is a good choice for a computer like that, I prefer it actually. Windows 8 still has a few bugs to be worked on and is not completely stable in my opinion.

Seems like Apple is the predominant choice here, and I would agree with all of you. Mac's are really stable, versatile and they have a nice share of power too.

I'm currently investing in my own high-end gaming computer (somewhere in the region of $2000-$3000). I'm thinking of getting a nice tower for it, a CoolerMaster probably and a top-of-the-range gaming mouse and keyboard. With that connected to my TV in my room, I think I'll have something close to gaming heaven :]

Yes, I just gave the ingredients to a brick. Because that's what I have.

I own a $200 Lenovo Ideapad from 2012, I don't know the specific specs. I'm planning on getting a new computer for Christmas, though!

    Yay, a computer thread! :D

I have an Alienware X51 (Sleek as hell)

As far as specs go, she can run most any game released nowadays (Some with the graphics toned down, admittedly), and is more than capable of handling my insane amount of programs open at once!

    Intel i3 Quad-core 3.30GHz (I think that's good)
    6.0 GB DDR3 RAM (Whatever DDR3 means)
1 TB Hard Drive (More than enough for me)
Nvidia GeForce GT-640 (A lovely card)
It's also got WiFi, pretty Alienware lights, and JUST LOOK AT IT IT'S SO NICE. :D
