When I draw in my notebook I love to draw in black, blue and orange, mainly because those are my best lining pens that I can use for class as well!
I feel like I'm good with variety in my colors for various drawings and tend to stick for the colors the thing I'm drawing actually has. (or, on occasion, black and white.) And I've recently gotten better with messing with the color wheel, so yeah. I use a lot of colors. edit: i was stupid and didnt realize it said "favorite." i like reds, blues, yellows, purples...i like a lot of colors. my favorite is blueeee
i love love love pastels but i think that's pretty obvious considering most of my art is in pastel! but if i'm just using a regular notebook to draw on then i love using silver, gold, and bronze!
I didn't realize this, but looking back on my art I tend to use a lot of pink/purple shades. I'm more drawn to purple out of the two of those but I like drawing with pretty much anything to be honest.
We're talking about drawing specifically, and not any other kind of artwork, correct? Assuming that is what we're talking about, to think about what colours I use...I'm not sure. I only use pencils, so what colour would you consider graphite to be? Grey? Charcoal? Black? ...I don't think it's dark enough to be black, but you get the idea.
I love using bright colours but occasionally the call of pastels takes over. I mainly use blues and purples as I draw a lot of space-y looking backgrounds!
My color schemes usually involve light colors and pastels, but that's sometimes hard to see under the overlays I use. Most of my art had the colors blue, green, and purple in it somewhere because cool colors are just appealing to me.
I usually don't use colours for drawing, but I've recently done a project where the only colours I used are red and blue, and I found they provided some really good contrast with each other.
I like blue/green/yellow combinations for shading and highlights. I tend to shade a bit darkly in my more serious drawings.
I usually don't draw in color, I use gray leds and black pencils. But, when I do, I use bright colors like yellow, orange, blue, green, etc.
I typically like using pencils to draw. I have quite enjoyed adding pastels into the mix when using markers though.
I lovvvvve to draw in purple pen. No fancy ink, just one of those cheap Bic pens that comes in the color purple. I only use it for sketches, though. In my artwork I favor warm color palettes, especially now that it's summer! But I'm sure that's due to change once fall rolls around.
When I use colors, I tend to go with whatever colors feel right for the specific drawing rather than just favorites. But I guess I do tend to prefer colors that are bright and vivid, rather than darker or even really light colors.
Black and grey x) In all seriousness, I love sketching with pencils, and I always line and draft my work in black when I'm doing digital art.
