So now that we know what scares us, what is it that calms you down? Personally, a nice shower works for me ;_;
For me, writing always works wonders. It just allows me to escape whatever's troubling me in the real world and immerse myself in my written ones. Whenever I have my flute with me, playing my flute also works. Music is very soothing and I'm usually focused on the music, not the world.
Drawing usually calms me down. Watching familiar youtube videos I've watched a thousand times but still love calms me down. Also breathing along to this gif can help me calm down too Spoiler
Music calms me down, whether it's listening to music/singing along or playing my ocarina, it helps. Being out in nature also helps as well as breathing exercises but the most effective was just talking to my friends, when I had a friend.
Laughter. Laughter with my friends, or laughter at something entertaining. I rarely need to calm down from something major, so this has worked so far in my life~
A hot shower and hot tea. Both are very relaxing, tea especially, and I tend to drink more of it than I should. I'm someone who easily gets tense and anxious so tea is a godsend sometimes. Music tends to actually make me more stressed if I'm feeling particularly anxious.. despite what type of music I'm listening to. Bc
My iPod that is my life. I also love doodling/sketching in anime style, it really helps me. Writing also lets me kinda take off the problems by pretending my problems are just the character's problems, not mine. Shutting up now. #MissingNo
I'm pretty much always calm, though that doesn't mean I'm immune to stress; sometimes the hustle and bustle of daily life will just wear me down. I've found that just making a signature really helps to ease stress for me, since it's something that keeps me both entertained and focused. I'm not exactly sure why it helps to relieve stress, but it definitely works, so I see no reason to change my methods around yet.
